I have a 2017 and love it This is much more reliable than my GS was...Not as fast but every bit as comfortable, I'm 62 and can bang out 500 miles a day on it
@vlfreak Thanks mate. There's one more wrap up of the Super Tenere then back on the dirt bikes next weekend BUT looking forward to the South Island NZ ride in March.
just rode the bike as a beginner... (I m 5 foot 7 woman).. great bike to ride ... lots of power, a bit heavy for me but very comfortable riding... I m thinking about getting a Tenere for next riding season... or one from NC 700 series from Honda... I like both !!
nice review love the sound of it on the bends @540.. im picking up my new one very soon. im smashed from paying for it but i believe its worth the pain.
The first time I saw Tenere, The impression was like, My god! It's huge! But riding it for one minute was enough to become nicely surprised with the gap between the heavy look and the exceptional maneuverability of this machine and your video is translating just that!
@@pappaclutch3266 Wait, the comment saying you were "buying one tomorrow" says it's only 10 months old. I'm confused. Doesn't really matter, I guess, but I'm glad to hear you are liking the bike. I'm working toward getting my hands on one. Seems like the ultimate jack of all trades. The only thing I think I'd want more would be an 800-1000cc shaft driven ADV bike that weighs 500 ish pounds, but that doesn't exist from a Japanese manufacturer. Moto Guzzi is the closest with the V85TT but it's an air-cooled flying V, so it's just too quirky for me. That, and Italian bikes aren't really known for reliability.
One thing I bet, the Super T is cheaper to maintain. I was a life long Beemer owner, not any more. It became stupid expensive. Still in the BMW ciub but most of us have gone to Triumphs cuz we are old and miss our youth........No we just like other bikes more.
There are too many good big bikes out there now to just pick the bmw r1200gs, because it's the king. King's come and go and with current competition from Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha and now KTM with the 1190 I think there is more than one heir to the throne. Then you have the little princes in waiting ....the big singles.
That would certainly be a contender. I think the future of adventure, in Australia, South Africa and Mid West of America are big singles more purpose built for adventure. The big old blokes who like cruising around on the black top, thinking they are adventure motorcyclists will stick to the big bikes.....and I don't mean cubes, I mean weight.....around 200 kgs.
I love my ST still thinking less the better I like the balance of these bike and its reliability, still not beated by tons of electronics on its competitors
I love this bike but i would rather have a 660 tenere, but yamaha doesn't offer them in canada or the u s a. Great videos its making my winter here in Canada go by fast!
Only 10 years late... The Super Ten is a bike I had not even considered until recently. Now I'm heading to the Yamaha dealer to check out the 2021 model.
They're a great bike, particularly for the more open stuff. Have a look on this channel as there are a number of videos taking the Super Tens in the tough stuff.
great work as always E-dog, tho if you keep this up, my bank manager might not like you so much!.. merry xmas and heres to more edog tests in the new year.
Hm, if the seat height adjustment is supposed to sway me from my R1200GS...why would they have a separate piece of rubber to move? The BMW has it integrated into the seat.
Have you bought one yet? I'm undecided whether to buy KTM Adventure, Motor-Morini Gran Passo, BMW GS or Super Tenere? Currently ride Honda Super Blackbird, which I don't really want to part with either.......decisions, decisions.
