Mach won! This takes me back! I forgot how tail happy the 8.8 was without at least moderate suspension upgrades. I did a solid axle swap in my 03 cobra out of a 98 cobra and I changed darn near everything. 10 way adjustable shocks, drag springs, lower control arms, etc. It was dead hooking on a 17 inch 315 Nitto in second gear with 585 rwhp. Thankfully these 8.8s aren’t too expensive to build.
He said in the video he banged it extra hard and cut the wheel goofing off and it doesn't normally do it that way. He is also running garbage 300+ tw entry level tires which aren't adequate for this power level. Having a proper tire alone does wonders..
Fun fact when Koenigsegg made his first production car this was the engine platform he build the 4v 4.6 that got bored to a 4.7 he still uses the same engine just heavily re engineered but at the end of the day to u Chevy and dodge guys a Swedish maniac made a Legendary ford engine down right insane
These can rev to 8000 too with upgraded rods and cams and a manifold that makes power to there (just like a coyote) and stand alone. The stock ecu limits you to 7000 or so rpm. These 4v 4.6 can rev to the moon too theyre just an older coyote basically.. gen 1 and 2 coyotes redline at 6800 stock too just like these did and the na cobra all the way back to 96 was same redline. These were impressive for their time. Boss rods and forged pistons you can reliably make 700 rwhp which is ALOT in one of these as theyre several hundred pounds lighter than the newer mustangs.
I used to have a 2004 mach 1 black on black with a p1SC and the AFS deep dish wheels just like yours. I regret so much selling it about 10 years back. Keep this beautiful car the way you have it. I love that it still looks close the original but you have made some very tasteful cosmetic and performance modifications. Good job! take good care of it. They are becoming harder to find. Noting cooler than seeing the shaker shake as you floor it and the engine twists
Bought my comp orange mach brand new in 04 still have it today 26k miles and procharged for 10k basic mods. It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The Windows are always down and it gets rowdy. Loud and mean . I will keep it till my final days. 1 of 1039 in the world!
Sweet ride bro, nice set up! I actually want one of these or a Terminator, and I'd go with a mild setup. I'm not looking to go all Mr. Horsepower just a clean mild street-able daily driver setup. Good job bro. 👍
Welcome to the mach1 community. How looks like a low mileage motor. I got a 2004 mach as well azure blue built all forged 11:1 compression aggressive cams beehive springs all arp hurricane oil pump long tube headers ford performance time kit cloud duel clutch would love to see more content of this car
Obviously with the bigger mas air the big air kit what injectors would u recommend this area I'm not to faint of knowledge with also have accubfab duel TB too more air more fuel usually mean more power theoretically. I will most likely put a pro charger on but not high boost. Thinking maybe 8-10 lbs with my compression ration all arp everything. What's ur thought on that.
@tommymach1301 I'd say you'd be fine at 10 psi with good tuning it's gonna make some power. I'd do a ported short runner intake too that'll help it both na and boosted.
Furreal! If you want to add a little bit more Pizzazz to the look of the Mustang, I've always thought that the blackout panel they make for those Mach 1's are perfect! Maybe black out the roof and the top of the deck lid and I think that'll be more than enough to really set it off. You've already got the deep dish wheels on it, it's yellow, which is perfect for the Mach 1, since it's a bona fide muscle car, and it's supercharged with a shaker hood. The exhaust sounds bitchin' ... honestly, if you did anything else to it, you might screw it up!
That’s why your spinning so much. Those tires are entry level at best. Car sounds great throw some r888r’s or nitto on the back and it will change it huge.
Do they sell the black ones like that from factory or is it painted and also did you just swap the air filter tube with that honeycomb guard or did it come like that?
About your Heavy Clutch: On a few different New Edges after upgrading the clutch, we’ve had a stupid heavy deal when using an aftermarket cable. Go back to a Ford cable and all is well again. Just a thought. The New Edge are very much like driving an older muscle car. Still old school chassis and suspension setup basically out of the 70s but refined over the years. So much smaller than the modern Mustangs so still a true pony car.
Pushing 540rwhp through an auto on my stock long block 04 Mach. 15psi Vortech V1 S and e85. You can make significantly more than 500rwhp if you do it right and have a good tune.
@@midnight347 yes, mine is at 498rwhp on 93. I run it on E though in the summer. I haven't ran it at the track on 93 since 2016 when it was at 452rwhp.
No get an 01 cobra front bumper if you can find em their real rare because they look more aggressive by the way it comes up in the middle yal get the 01 cobra front bumper cover an tail lites of the 01 cobra an the hood of an 03 cobra an the rear valance of the 03 cobra an that it but if you can't get all four pieces at least get the front valance off an 01 cobra an then look at the front yal I know a guy I know put an 01 cobra valance an 01 tail lites on his cobra terminator an yal that's the look an me I have an 01 cobra .
