I don’t get why all these people are hating on supercharging the Mach 1. Yes, you can buy a regular GT and slap a blower on it but if you go with a manual transmission you’re gonna be stuck with the POS MT82 transmission. Biggest selling point for me with the Mach 1 is that awesome TR-3160 6 speed manual. I ,for one, think this is an awesome build 👏🏼
I am surprised that Ford is still keeping the crappy MT-82 for the new S650 Mustangs coming out next year. I bought an older one and modded it because I would not buy one with that transmission. People have sued Ford over it. Some people seem to have some luck with it, but overall, it's not reliable.
@@3644Darrell it isn't that bad man the transmission gets blamed for the clutch issues and shifter issues. They can hold as much power as the machs tremec does. I promise you talk to anyone in the game who actually knows about them. The tremec shifts better stock but it absolutely doesn't hold any more power. Have you had an mt82 yourself or are you just repeating stuff others say? People thought for years the mt82 was causing lockouts it was the clutch that caused high rpm lockout. It's fine. I'd rather buy a base gt and put a t56 magnum into it. You'd be saving like 20-30 grand over a Mach 1 that is a gt in a dress and have an actual BETTER transmission.
Beautiful! Nothing like the unique roar of The Mustang Pony snorting thru the gears. My husband and I had a pair of 1970 Boss 302s and several other Mustangs. Best fun cars to drive... Ever! Thanks for the memories! Giddy up Go!!
Nothing better than seeing that on Trapper’s loop. Such a perfect back drop for that car and I bet it sounded great pulling that grade and the sound just echoing through the hills.

I once met Chip Foose at a car show talking about swap & builds..and one thing he said that struck me was..'no matter what you build ,restomod or swap & turbo kit ,if you want to enjoy your dream car as a daily & street and race ,no matter what you do ,the success for performance and reliability is heat control and cooling..he said ,keep that engine bay ventilated and that engine cool ,and you'll be fine..!!

I love the sound of the coyote when its in the mid range. Yeah I like the sound of Hemi engines to but there is something about that Coyote that just can't be explained or outdone. Sweet ride be safe.

If you're not going to put a supercharger or ProCharger on it than headers are a waste of money. You're better off doing a resonator delete and putting a H or x pipe depending on your sound preference. I put a Steeda H pipe on my Mach 1 and it sounds amazing with the active exhaust and it's a lot cheaper. Take the savings and spend it on a tune and you're good to go.
Should’ve skipped Hennessey bought the parts and had an independent shop do the work. for what they charged probably could’ve gotten some upgraded engine internals. 18 pounds of boost on a stock 12:1 compression motor and 91 octane is just asking for a blown motor!
I would enjoy these videos more if we knew the costs involved. I own a 21 Mach 1 and would like to know what it would cost for me to have my car done through Hennessey or through Logan filter
It’s really hard to beat the whipple gen 5 setups. If you go that route, you do not need to send the car to Hennessey or similar. There are a lot of very good shops that can do the build if your not comfortable doing the install. This coming from some one that had a 20Gt350, gen five, stage two. 755 corrected, pump gas, 655 at 5200ft. Not sure if Hennessey did your gears and other cooling mods. The builds I’ve come across from them they didn’t do them. Do the opg’s, bigger radiator, and rear cooling, mods. I sold mine to buy a 500Cftp. For those that think these will pull a 500, they will not. As cool as the Mach 1 is, it’s not a Gt350 and that’s ok. Beautiful car.
Put the cats on for the BS emissions test then once done take em off. Thats what i did here in Canada until they fot rid of the stupid testing all together. It was a bit of pain but worth it
Our 21 GT500 has a 17 gallon tank so I think he is mistaken and the car drinks gas like no other!! Does not get the 18 mpg hwy they claim. The 800 whp Hellcat gets 25mpg on the hwy and is way more efficient but the GT500 handles ridiculous!! Like a supercar!! Hellcat we love but it’s definitely a boat!!
@rift33srt95 so today I tested it and I got only 15 mpg on tbe highway at 80-85 mph based off of how much gas I used and miles I drove so the car is saying 22 mpg hwy when I was cruising but it was definitely lying obviously. It says I’m averaging 17.4 mpg the last few thousand miles and it it really probably 10mpg. I don’t go wide open with the 426 Maggy and actually maybe give it 20% where it makes 5 psi on tbe street tops. The car made over 25 psi at WOT on the Dyno. Scared to go WoT on tbe street. The car was lose when it was a built and boosted 392 making 725 whp so at Ali store 1100 whp it will be nuts on street tires.
Tgst said the new GT500 is horrendous on gas stock so modded it must be really out of control. Higher revving engines always stop k more so I guess it’s to be expected

I’m not a Mustang guy but that’s a badass Stang’ .. I think the thing Ford got wrong with the Mach 1 is the hood. That hood decal draws my attention to the fact there’s no shaker. Ford should’ve got with Shelby & used the hood (and wide body) from the Shelby GT for the Mach 1. I think that would’ve been a cleaner look for the car, but that’s just my opinion not fact.
Definitely a nice build, but a Shelby killer? There is no comparison. You definitely have a beast in that Mach 1. Would definitely not beat a Shelby without the mods. Have fun with it! Good stuff

Ford decided not to offer the drag pack CAI ,so be it ,but they probably should have. Putting a centrifugal super charger or a twin screw you can't go wrong either way.

Very nice ride but that Trans is the weakest link need to upgrade that Trans I just put a 3.0 whipple on my f150 with a 10 inch lift BBK headers an in the market for a gt 500
Very nice ride but if possible, lose that black skid mark down the middle of its. Poor choice of a color for the car. White, or bright silver would be much better
Mach 1 is a good car, but I would never allow Hennessy to ever touch one of my cars again!!! My 2020 GT500 is at another level well beyond this Hennessy setup and with a few minor mods the GT500 can be at 1k HP.
well if you come across the Venom 1200 you know they are going to have to call 911 because the one who will end up humiliated and killed is you, you can kill the Shelby 350 with no modification, so specify that Shelby😂😂😂
For those who say buy a Gt and put a blower....The Mach is not for you, I get so many compliments on my mach 1, especially when they get whooped with my Whipple Powered 5.0. I get it, people who are dogging the Mach 1 over the GT more than like don't like the $$ that the Mach costs, again it's not for you. You get yourself the Gt, I will enjoy my mach 1 and that's it. 💪🏼💪🏼
No my friend, the GT has the god awful MT-82 and the Mach 1's have that sweet Tremec TR 3160. Air intake setup from the bullitt, intake plenum from the GT 350. GT 500 rear diffuser, all that adds up to the asking price, Ford nailed it! Love mine! But don't get me wrong, I love the PP GT and the previous GT PP2. The Mach 1 has an oil cooler, transmission cooler,.rear differential cooler
Don't know who needs to hear this: but buying a Mach 1 to put a blower on it is a waste of money. You can literally buy a GT + blower and make the exact same power for a little less. The Mach 1 is best kept stock. It will be worth $$$$ one day.
So if you don't have good fuel how can you be at that PSI that the car is currently running at? So you're running 91 octane fuel and what 20 lb of boost😂
