280 whp in a 2V is no small feat. That's a nice ride. It makes me even more impressed with the Mach 1 just in general. What a great car right out of the box.

I've seen machs hit 280 wheel bone stock.. and 280 wheel is pretty easy with cams I've seen guys do 270 with just fbo with stock cams. It's possible to hit 300 w cams but all the stars have to line up. 280-290 is more typical. I don't think some people realize how much of a step up the Mach is from the 2v they're very underrated that 305 and 310 hp crap is just plain lies lol. More like 335 hp. They put down 280 bone stock to the tire. They're a good bit faster. They trap about 4-5 mph more than a 2v stock for stock and over half second et faster.

I bought a new 99 GT and installed a vortech supercharger and every mod you can think of. I even went from the factory supercharger pulley 3.60 and went down to a 3.33 with 42 lb injectors and a new tune. It ran awesome and I wish I never got rid of it. I kept it for a while and I really took car of it. Washed it once a week and waxed it once a month plus you could eat off the engine

Okay kind of what I thought I have a full bolt on two valve and I've been told you need to tie everything together and get a Dyno tune I'm probably still going to do it and spend the $300 but I just always wondered will I notice a difference or with the car just run beeeettteeerr.thanks bro.love the car.mines silver also

These 4v motors don’t play, I just recently bought a 100% bone stock 03 Oxford white Mach 1 with 184k miles and I’ve beat brand new bolt on Subaru sti’s, Mercedes gle 63 which come with a fucking twin turbo v8 packing almost 600hp, I’ve beat on ls3 5th gen Camaros etc…I’m very impressed with my Mach 1 for being bone stock car down to the plastic intake

@@Chase004 stock rwhp is around 225. So he's Gained around 55rwhp. Stock crank is 260 so puts him around 325 crank now. Depends on the dyno type, if he has 4.10 gears dyno numbers will fall shorter as well, wheel/tire combo play a factor as well. So he could be pushing even more. Also could be a safe tune. Lots of factors unknown.

@AlphaChadChase it depends on how aggressive the cams are where you need to upgrade the valvetrain heads therefore making more power, this one didn't give out a specific cam it could've been a hot rod cam that just bolts on & barely add huge hp numbers where as a bigger cam add a good amount of hp & improve top end, & also tuning, a good custom tune plays a huge factor, but honestly 3vs are just way better they're good on low end mid range, fbo & cams they're making 360+ whp pretty much stock coyote power which is insane for the money, 2vs are trash ngl but their bodystyle is nice maybe a 3v swap or 5.0 would be better off or boost

Lmfao no way fbo & cams & it didn't even break 300 whp, that's why 3vs are way better torquey engine good on low to mid range, with just bolt ons, exhaust, cai+tune would put them just about 300 whp & fbo/cams they make 360+ whp pretty much gen 1 coyote power which is pretty insane, don't get me wrong sn95 new edge still looks nice but the 2vs are trash to waste money on for power mods, a good 3v or 5.0 swap would be better off or boost

I'm a 4v guy for sure but a fbo cammed 2v done right can absolutely run with a stock mach 1 it'd prob be a drivers race you may have outdriven the guys you ran nobody ever factors this in and it's even more important if it's manual vs manual. You can literally beat faster cars just by being a better driver trust me I've done it countless times over the years. Driver mod is Def a real thing.
