Tork Tech MP112 Superchargered @18 psi on a 2004 Mustang GT. Built bottom end, built trans, cams, cobra fuel tank swap, Mach 1 rear end. 500+ whp racing against a Turbo 350Z. I don't know what else he had done to it.
I think it was more about his car is running like shit. It was breaking up a little. I wasn't going to mess with him but he pulled up alongside of us. We saw the intercooler and thought it might be a good race.
Blindsktr is right. Stock to stock 350Z would edge a 04 Mustang GT out by a little bit. GT's really want that fast stock. I should know I got waxed buy a few when I first bought the car. Lol For the record my car has a built motor and cams so it's not just a blower. I ran this guy infourth the gear. If I started in 3rd it would have been a lot worse.
Okay I'm not arguing ms oh Sr but yes it is first turbos is top end and supercharged is usually for launched n kicks in in the beginning. And Dnt kno Wat u mean by blower but is BOV but on turbos aspiration.
This was not a race the other drive never starts at the same time meaning u never knew when to go. And u can hear by the z exhaust that he was either a shitty ass tiny turbo or he a auto matic. Because no real racer granny shifts and the z sounded stock.just saying
+Bigboomer iuh know buddy a clutch gives you ability to control the revs not to mention power shift where a automatic will only do what its programmed to
+Bigboomer this was not a drag race was it. and your turbo does not work of load a super charger does. turbos work off exhaust in which case everytime your foot is off the throttle or you shift. the pressure is released through the blow off vavle and builds again. if what u are saying was the case a turbo would never have to spool any time a persons foot is on the gas because it is now under load.
+Bigboomer again you are not talking about a automatic but a hybrid type between the two that was made for drag applications. and this is not a essay i write how i please only idiots who can't figure out sentences complain about gramar on the Internet. i happen to be at the shop wasting time. so toodles. i have seen automatics burn themselves to hell at the strip. the transmissions u are reffering to are not pure automatics. but hybrids between the two. thats like saying a freaking toyota corollas automatic transmission can handle 400 hp (which it will die). will last longer than a manual. all transmissions are rated for different power loads. on the street u rarely see autos beat manuals of the same power spec. which this is a street race. a auto creates load om the motor and robs it of power. and in a street application on a 40 mile load will not hold the desired gear for the jump. it will break down to a lower gear and then get to moving. also if not programed to do so will most times switch gears to what it thinks the tranny should be in. so on the street a auto would not be a persons first choice. clearly why i said on a strip, yes a auto type is the better choice. but if you were not so bent on trying to think u know everything,u would see i agreed about the drag part. not the street on streetable power levels.smh people like you bet not ever have a straight drive in your car. i swear
350z was def not tuned. 350z is faster stock than a gas guzzling mustang. If it was a gt not supercharged it's 240 hp wich means 214 too the wheels on a v8 😂😂😆
Z would smoke it first of all turbo beats supercharged n okay dnt kno Wat both got of hwp but in general z would beat Mustang . Mustang first of all its so fat soo yea.
Not always true. If that's the case why do top fuel drag cars run blowers? I'm running 18 psi on my blower. Don't get me wrong, turbos are very affective power adders but they have draw backs as well. Usually anything around the same hp I win. Check out my other vids.
Mustangs are faster stock for stock than 350z. If you turbo a 350z then it will keep up, but once you turbo the Mustang its over with. My Procharger (Supercharge) shits on turbos no problem. If you have a nice turbo setup then you are okay, but most just throw on a turbo and have major lag or think that they are the shit because they are now F/I then they feel dumb when it doesn't change anything against another F/I car
Tekk X Well roll starts don't matter with the lag because well.. you should be well over 3k rpm to spool the turbo at that point. That is why people do roll starts most the time. Mustangs are faster stock tho than the 350, if you had unlimited funds into both, I am curious as to which one would actually win. But lets be real here, none of us are AWD so we are getting no where fast lol
+Tekk X no you're completely wrong the fastest 2v 4.6 1/4 mile stock was 13.8 the fastest DE 350z was 13.6 while the fastest HR was 13 flat they're pretty even stock it comes down to driver but if any of you ignorant Imbecile's looked at the description this stang is built and supercharged on 18psi while the z is most likely stock block most people go with a turbo/sc on the z and boost only 8-10lbs because stock internals only hold up to 400whp safely and the vq is more expensive to build than a 2v too and that's exactly why most boosted zs are only running 400whp while HRs are around 450whp but you also have to remember the base model 350z de only weighs 3188 curb weight and the HR is like 3300 and the z has less drivetrain loss than a mustang but the stang also has the live rear axle so he can launch a little easier but that effects the handling of the car to the z and stang are pretty close in competition it pretty much comes down to who has more money not trying to bench race but its true but handling wise the z comes out on top the stang 2v and z are nothing special as I own a z and have plenty of friends with 2v 4.6s and I practically drive my buddies 3.7 stang everyday because hes to lazy to drive and Its the same outcome with that the 4.6 2v loses and he also has a 2.73 fd and doesn't even have 3.73s
