The fact that Katie just took him yelling at her where behind the scenes they were probably laughing lol great acting by both John and Katie!

The actores really nailed this scene and nobody is talking about that!

You can tell Lex hates to get things half-done. He got every part of his plan right except truly convincing Lena that he had changed. Lena knows whenever Lex uses the word SAVIOR what he really means is DICTATOR.

Anyone else think Lex's yelling was the built up rage he's been holding in since Lillian told him to remain calm and play the long game?

I was skeptical about him portraying Lex, but he's made an exceptional Luthor. I hate him a lot.

i feel like when leana closed her eyes she was trying to cope, if you know what i mean. i have a feeling lex had emotionally abused her in the childhood and she just closes her eyes when it happens.

They are acting in the scene is top notch. Jon cryer really nails Lex Luther and his ego: he goes from calm and caring to domineering and intimidating in a space of seconds because the sister he looks down upon calls him out on his bullshit.

Interesting you call this an argument... It's years of abuse finally showing on the surface. Abuse has many faces and the manipulation and way he made her feel small is one of them. Jon and Katie were chillingly good. Their timing was so on point. One of the most impressive scenes I've ever seen.

I know Lex is a manipulative jerk but I think he does love Lena, in a weird Lex kinda way. Siblings *sigh* Also... “You're a monster,” Lena said, calmly yet clearly enraged, “But that doesn't mean I have to be one too.” Loved that.

I hated this scene so much only because lena is verbally being abused by her own brother! But Katie’s acting when she looks back up to him, omg queen!

Lena made the wise and courageous choice to turn from her brother, and for that I respect her. She saved her own life and walked out on Lex.

The way Lex yelled at lena ,I wished Alan could do the same to judith.

This scene was so intense! It's sad how blind Lena was, even if part of her knew she couldn't really trust him, but the fact that she couldn't made her desperately believe that he would have been a safer bet than Kara. And also they're such fantastic actors!

I love the dialogue of this scene. Lex makes it seem like being a nice supportive brother/human being is such a waste of time. An indulgence that is wasteful when he could be doing other things. Its such an inconvenience for him to show her the way, he thinks she should just fall in line and do what he wants. But Lena shows she has an inner strength beyond that.

Katie displays the full spectrum of Lena's thoughts and emotions in this scene with minimal words. As Lena listens to Lex you can see everything click, the realization that Kara had been right, tears for the choices she made, guilt for having hurt those who only wanted to protect her, and the determination to fix it as she walks off

Look Alan finally snapped and became a supervillian. Lol

It was in this moment that I was finally able to stop seeing Alan Harper and start seeing Lex Luthor. He's been good so far, but in this moment he fully became the role

Woah,, that is some greeeeat acting and directing. Waaaaaay above arrowverse average. Bravo!!!

Lex Luthor has easily become one of the best villains of the entire Arrow-verse. Idk if he's as good as Thawne or Deathstroke but he's definitely up there.

Jon Cryer making a conversation go from 0 to 100 in 1 second is just hilarious to me for some reason. Maybe it's because I watched Two and a half men before Supergirl, but when I see this, I see Jon Cryer yelling out all the anger and rage he's had since Superman 4.

Jon Cryer is SCARY good at being Lex Luthor. To switch gears like that is truly epic. That's a mark of a great actor. He'll be my #1 Lex Luthor to love to hate.

What's crazy lex truly didn't do nothing at all and her plan failed on it's own.But it's fact he snapped and didn't comfort her that's where he fucked up he broke once he heard "You haven't changed" He did nothing wrong to her this time and yet is the monster regardless.

To be honest, I hate Lex ruined Lena’s friendship with Kara. Lex made his own sister to becoming something she’s not. Lex corrupt her mind and her spirit. He use her for his personal gain. He revealed his true nature to her.

There is 1 conversation during 5x13 that never happened but should have and i think the show really missed an opportunity by not having it. In 5x13 Kara needed another perspective so she chose a time frame where Mon El existed and her talking to him about what was going on to get his opinion. They should have had Kara choose a time frame where Lena would have listened and Kara could have told her weekday was happening. Who better to give advice about how to handle Lena than Lena. Imagine that convo, Kara tells Lena what's happening in real life, how they hurt each other. Lena tears in her eyes listens to all the ways she hurt Kara and vice versa looks deep into Kara's eyes and tells her "as long as you keep trying, I'll keep pushing you away" Kara blinks, confused, says "I'll never give up on you Lena, i promised to always be they're and i will". A soft smile comes over Lena as she grasps Kara’s hand, "i could never handle you thinking I'm a lost cause, I'll always try and prove you wrong. I'm not asking you to give up on me, I'm asking you to have faith that I'll always choose your side in the end". Kara looks at her, swallows slowly "so what, in supposed to tell you the truth, that i can't trust you anymore because you are so lost you see Lex as an ally? " Lena gets a smirk "Kara, if i chose Lex, it's because i know beyond any doubt that what I'm doing is wrong and o don't care what he thinks. I'll always care about what you think, It's why i most likely am keeping you away, shame makes me isolate ". Imagine if that conversation took place. It would still fit the show, keep it platonic, but add so many layers to what is happening.
