Thank you for the review, it helped me deciding to get this gear. I was looking for a pair of semi open headpones on a budget, as this will be my first, and this seems a good choice.
Thx :) i had a problem with these after 3-4 years. The problem was that the cable broke which im showing in the this video. Due to that one of the drivers was not working properly. I have a video where i fixed that problem: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MQxJ5AQo4pk.html
Great review. You really helped me to decide if or not to buy them.(I will buy them). I loved that you did not mention the specs, you are right, that tells you nothing about the sound.
i use them since 5 years, its very neutral out of the box, what makes them an perfekt allrounder and very versatile, you can adjust the eq to your likeings, the bass is decent but clear, i turn bass and vocals up and use them for gaming, or fun music listening , they may look not premium but they are definitely very durable. i am going to upgrade to the HD-660 pro, because they are closed and deliver some more saturation/bass, they are under 50$ but they compare vs 200-300 headphones range, great value again
Good video, i have the HD662 Evo which are also bloody good en work wel in office environment because they are closed, im going to order these for at home and some bigger soundstage
Last one lasted a good 4 years of daily use. Needed some resoldering, and headband started tearing. New one with production date January this year sounds even better than the old one. Headband and earpad design has slightly changed. New ones have an embossed headband, old ones have a printed logo. Pads on the new ones are much softer than the old ones.
nice review! i was wondering to get between the logitech g433 and the superluxs but i think i made up my mind. if anyone tried both please tell me, any opinions will help, thanks
How does this compare to Samson SR850? I have been looking for a companion to my One Odio Pro that's closed back and puts a greater emphasis on bass.. So was looking around this price range to find this and the Samson SR850 amongst other things for something more balanced and less bass heavy without breaking the bank.
I haven't tried the Samson SR850, but I have found a forum where this topic is discussed. Check it out: www.head-fi.org/threads/two-budget-kings-superlux-681-evo-vs-samson-sr850-similar-to-superlux-668b-but-with-headband.687900/
@@techzact Oh, thank you for the reply! I have also seen discussions that the Samson SR850 are OEMs of the Superlux 681 or something along those lines according to this thread. www.head-fi.org/threads/samson-sr850-superlux-oem-review-a-50-budget-champion.546544/ Hence why I am super confused right now haha.
@@vampyvania you are welcome. Btw I dont know much about the Samson, but my Superlux hd681 just broke couple of weeks ago. The left driver started not to work properly. I took it apart but I don't have time to fix it, so maybe I will pass it to someone who knows how to fix it, or I will buy wireless headphones.
@@techzact I see. Glad it lasted for quite some time for you though! I have never been a greatest fan of wireless due to latency issues and its price but I suppose that's where the world is going.. Hope you find a good pair!
You’re right :) the cable on my HD681 EVO broke and due to that one of the speakers didn’t work. I thought about tossing it out but then I decided that I’ gonna fix it. I fixed it with my friend. A video is coming about it today or tomorrow. I hope yours is still working properly :)
Great sounding headphones... I've own 3 in 4 years.... the build quality is terrible. All three broke at the headband. All three broke at the ear connector. All three, the pads deteriorated within a month or two. All three went dead in one ear which I had to soldier myself to get them going again. Great sound, but don't last. I recommend them, but take extra care.
Hey! Mine just got wrecked :( The sound was barely coming from the left earcup. I started to take apart, but havent got time to fix it and i need a noise cancelling one so Im gonna buy the sony wh-1000xm4.
I Dont recommend these because the headband broke after 5 months and it sucks now I have the audiotechnica ath m20x and they are a lot better in comfort and sound and they cost 49 dollars i recommended Samson sr 580 or audiotechnica m20x in this price
