It’s like a dark moment really well like a comic book moment. Very well orchestrated, I’m sure audiences went crazy wAtching this movie on opening night.

The flying is not bad effort wise

I personally call it the "feels", myself! But as for the scene where the evil Superman gets taken out by the good Superman, THAT scene alone definitely gives me goosebumps. Very haunting, yet heroic moment, indeed!

@@dancastro6873 He never really got much of an opportunity in retrospect. One superman movie which was pretty good, and then the studio basically gave up and made a really bad Batman movie with Superman in it.

@@user-bl1pw2th4l It's mostly just that there's so much focus on Richard Pryor's character and random slapstick. Take the same basic movie but give Reeve more screen time and remove some of the dumber slapstick moments(the opening scene, the random effects of Gus's drunken computer hacking around the city and Gus skiing off the building) and it would improve things quite a bit.

The moment they played the Superman theme my eyes well up in tears because I so would've played that theme really loud had he walked again and I believe in my heart he was going to. God I miss him. I will never forget my dad calling me and telling me he died I cried all night and couldn't sleep and even though he's been gone for nearly 16 years I still cry at times.

While both ways are awesome, Christopher Reeves was an actual pilot so he had a better understanding of the mechanics and physics of flight. With Henry's version, to me, blasting of like a rocket would only make sense in an emergency situation. Dropping down like a cannon ball to say hi to your mom then taking of like a tomahawk cruise missle to go work just doesn't scream "good superheroing".

No one can embody the humanity Reeve brought to Superman. Cavill finally showed it in Batman vs Superman DOJ prior to his sacrifice to stop Doomsday but prior to it he says to Lois "I love you. This is my world. You are my world."

+javy sto Normally if a person puts clothing in the washer or dryer with any kind of oil on it or if it ever had oil on it (especially cooking oils) that could cause death, explosion, or fire. (It says these things on my dryer machine at home). However, Superman's uniform is probably a more powerful uniform than a washer or dryer that if he put his uniform in the washer or dryer, no death, explosion, or fire would happen.

It won't happen two reason why frist he was his super breath while he was closing the oil spill and second he used his laser eyes on the outside of the ship not inside. Watch the movie before you comment otherwise you look like an fucking idiot.

I like and have all the Superman movies Reeve did but the first will forever be my all time favorite flick because it's a true classic

You Should Check out the Superman and Lois TV Series. It's a Show that does the Superman Legacy Justice. Tyler Hoechlin as Clark/Superman is Outstanding!!!

I think what he did is he used his freeze breath to keep the oil cool (in other words under it's ignition temperature) while he used his heat vision to seal the hull breach! 😀😊

In a way, this scene feels like a symbolic transition from the mild mannered, nerdy Clark of the pre-crisis era to the assertive "Clark is who I am, Superman is what I can do" take of the post crisis era.

Is Louis a new character we haven't heard of? And why would he get it on with him (and how the hell would he knock him up? Has he been speaking to Dr. Alex Hesse?) Surely he would have done Lois Lane instead 😉😉

+1980Triumph I think they should have gone for the Superman/Clark Kent split much earlier in the movie and centred the story around Good Superman vs Evil Superman.

Front projection was some of the best techniques for the flying, but sadly blue screen was needed in places where Superman had to be show flying closer or further away from the camera. Filming the actor on an arm in front of a blue screen with the camera zooming in or out. Would allow the filmmakers to remove the blue later and put in a backdrop. Giving the illusion of Superman flying towards or away from the camera. Something you simply can't do with front projection, because the actor and backdrop is both filmed in camera. If you did the same process with front projection with the camera. Both actor and backdrop would be zooming in and out at the same time.

Part of the first film was actually filmed in Manhattan
