Excellent work. Such a nice family show that ordinary people can relate to despite of all the fantasy & sci-fi. It presents unemployment, alcholism, real life heroism by firefighters, miscarriage, depression, teenagers & school issues, sports, brotherhood, family issues, etc. Just great.

That or they're doing the typical tv method that the characters just heal up quicker to get the story going. I think if he ends up getting abilities it'll be due to the crystals. And since he's half kryptonian it'll most definitely blend much better with him and be like his father. Because so far the other people only have some traits of Kal-El but not the full abilities.
