@@Knightfall182 Well it does remind me of christopher reeve Superman in some ways. I have to disagree. There are different versions of superman and there is no specific way the character should be. People are just used to this type of Superman.

@@ejiro241 There should always be a core, specific way the characters should be portrayed. That's why Feige's MCU gets it so right. Sadly, Evans gives 100x more of a compelling, inspiring and honest 'boyscout' approach to Cap than we ever got from Snyder's failed Superman.

Or it’s that they work off of emotions if you notice all the times Jordan awakened his powers in school was when he was angry at football it was excitement and at the barn it was fear so it’s probably more emotions based because if it is “proximity” that would be trash.

@@maliquematthews903 I'd argue that 5 was the worst season of the show. It had a better plot than seasons 3 and 4 but the writing was just so bad. Like one episode a character would grow only to revert back to how they were the next episode. Not to mention the horrible dialogue. It was bad back in the previous seasons but it was believable and wasn't painful to listen to. Season 6 and 7 have been much better. Still not season 1 and 2 levels but certainly better than 3 4 and 5.

Were it not for the likes of Smallville (and to some extent, Lois And Clark), we would not have gotten a more humanized Superman in this new iteration. Lois And Clark was supposed to be in its fifth season when WBTV had it cancelled because no one liked the idea of watching Clark Kent settle down with Lois Lane. Going back to the topic at hand, Clark was already doing superheroic stuff and ran through the gauntlet of his updated rogues gallery way before he finally donned the iconic costume and took flight. You can't get any more Superman than that.

Agreed. As a small comic book purists, I really hope that the writers don’t make the same mistake with Jonathan that the writers made with Laurel Lance on Arrow and Jimmy Olsen on Supergirl. Where they basically forgot just how important Jimmy was to Superman, and forgot to do any research on Black Canary, and basically threw them to the side. I just hope that they don’t write themselves into a corner where Jonathan does get his powers (either naturally or from an outside source.) but they can’t really do the same thing with him and Clark as they’ve done with Jordan and Clark.

You realize Lois and Clark do a lot more hi-five each other, right.......? The boys can turn their strength on and off or, at the VERY least, control it (see: Jordan almost breaking his hand on his first try). (ABSOLUTELY agree, though, that Jon IS eventually getting powers!!!!)
