Superman & Lois 1x12 "Through the Valley of Death" Season 1 Episode 12 Promo - DAVID RAMSEY (“ARROW”) GUEST STARS - Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and John Henry Irons (Wole Parks) can’t seem to agree on the best way to stop Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner). This show is criminally underrated. I hope once it’s on HBO max in September that that’ll increase the fanbase. Edit: Also please give this show a good review on rotten tomatoes. Show got review bombed by trolls back around mid March as it was around 80 percent and is now lower.

I really like this show, but it's also frustrating knowing that this is supposed to be in the same universe as Supergirl. I get that the pandemic impacted their plans as pandemics do, but Tar-Ro complaining that Kal-El wasn't old enough to know what it is like to lose a planet and appealing to him as his only relative. Just hit wrong for me. Is Kara's experience and existence worth nothing?

Looks intense but this show is a masterwork of misdirection. As bad as it looks, Superman is likely more in control than he's letting on and figuring out a way to turn the tables on Morgan.

I hope that is the case, our Superman is not being teased much in the promo apart from one or two ominous shots, but Superman's willpower is indomitable. The writers have done an amazing job of this Superman so far, so I find it hard to believe they will have him turn evil and start destroying cities and killing people, not after all the amazing character-building about him keeping himself in check. I hope he kicks Edge's ass next episode too, the guy has it coming.

Agreed. He told Edge what he wanted to hear and went with him to keep him away Lois, John, and Jordan. What father WOULDN'T tell a crazy man about to murder his wife and sons whatever he wanted to hear to make him back off? All we really saw in terms of him "going dark" was his eyes glowing red. That's an indication that he's absolutely furious, presumably with Edge, not that he's gone dark. And honestly, who WOULDN'T be furious in his shoes?

@@hiromitailor8075 Clark’s nostalgic trip: After watching him train at the Fortress of Solitude as a young boy, we saw Clark return to Smallville as a man; Jor-El had tasked his son with reconnecting to the human world in order to figure out why he wants to be the people’s champion. This brought him back to Lana, but he soon discovered that she had moved on - with Kyle, duh - while he was off honing his Kryptonian skills. We then jumped to Metropolis, where Clark was climbing the ladder at the Daily Planet under the guidance of its most celebrated reporter. (Lois Lane, maybe you’ve heard of her?) But while Lois’ love for Clark grew with each passing day, her disdain for Superman also grew, as she felt the city’s obsession with its new hero was taking attention away from more important issues. She eventually warmed up to him after he helped her take down a neo-Nazi, even going so far as to name him before conducting his first-ever TV interview. (How cute was that whole scene, by the way?) The rest was familiar territory - from Clark telling Lois his secret to Lois discovering that she was pregnant with twins - but something about the whole sequence just felt off. As we soon learned, Tal-Rho had been probing Superman’s mind, and now he was armed with enough info to fully destroy Clark’s world. And lest anyone doubt his ruthlessness, Kal-El’s estranged brother destroyed the machine responsible for running Jor-El’s consciousness.

He has Social Anxiety Disorder, got bullied at his High School, didn't know how to feel with finding out his father is Superman, and then having these uncontrollable powers. Jonathan getting powers would be easier for him control and be less interesting, plus he doesn't need powers to defend himself, he could learn to fight and he has John Irons's guns.

Unpopular opinion: I kinda don’t want Diggle or anyone else from the arrow verse to cross over with S+L. I really like that it’s been stand-alone up until now. I don’t watch the other shows (used to but I’ve come to dislike them all) so this being it’s own thing suited me really well.

Theory: Jordan will try to reason his dad, but he won't listen while Jordan still trying to get his dad back to the good side Evil Superman ends up hurting him then that event will snap him back into Clark Kent and he will realize what he did apologizes to Jordan and his family and try to stop Morgen Edge, but it's just a theory what do you all think?

More likely Jon will try to reason with him, fail and that's where Jon's powers will come out. Jordan and Jon will tag team against Clark, culminating in Jordan using his solar flare. However, due to being half human, it acts on him like gold Kryptonite, permanently depowering him, flipping his and Jon's positions and making it truer to the comics. Last part is just what I'm wishing for xD

It's sad that Batman isn't kicking around to stop a rogue Superman. I know WB is far from permitting batman in the small screen but I'd say it would be intriguing to see batman take part in the battle to ensure Superman doesn't harm anyone. Well the problem is Bruce isn't active as batman currently since he has vanished.

If they could use Batman, I think he could’ve had a small cameo at the end where Superman turns back to the good side, and you can just see Batman in the distance making sure everything is alright. Perhaps Superman gives a little respectable nod to Batman for checking in on him, and Batman just takes off in his Bat mobile, back to Gotham.

I think we were meant to assume that Lois called John Henry Irons aka Steel at the end of the episode as he was so sure that Superman would turn evil because of what happened to his earth. However I doubt Lois would call him because of how hell bent he was of stopping Superman at any cost. Maybe because Morgan Edge did it she will convince him to channel his hatred to Edge. At least that is what I am thinking. That leaves me to the next question is Diggle just visiting on a field trip or something. I dont see how he fits into the story.

It also makes sense because without Diggle Oliver Queen would have died a lot sooner than he did. Diggle is a great motivational and hopeful ally to the Superheroes no doubt

The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover confirmed Clark and Lois have sons, therefore confirming this show mainly happens on Earth-Prime and I'm so tired of people not paying attention to things that are already confirmed. 1. Someone said it was unknown if this show happens on Earth-Prime when I asked if Edge from Supergirl Season 3 was always a Kryptonian. 2. Someone in the comments of this exact video said that this show happens in 2030 and I don't know where they got that from.

Zeta-Roh is the true villain, I bet Edge at some point will change his mind about his Father and somehow will sacrifice himself to save Superman as he realises that Clark's life on Earth is something that he never experienced and will try to give back that life to him at the end, I cannot see Tal-Roh's character being in the show permanently, but it would be a terrible waste to get rid of a great character.

It's taking place after Supergirl's finale. Supergirl was supposed to air before this show but Melissa's pregnancy changed the filming (and therefore airing) schedules. This is also why we jumped from one show to the other. Neither were done filming but something had to take the spot.

How awesome would it be to see John Henry show up in his Superman Steel Suit and Diggle put on the ring and suit up as Green Lantern to go to war with Dark Superman and Morgan Edge...and in the heat of battle Jordan tries to save his father only to be taken down by Edge and in that moment Jonathan's powers manifest and he becomes the real hero that saves his family.

Yes he has a Green Lantern ring. Because he has been ignoring it, because he has no idea what it is I assume, It's affecting him. In Batwoman he was in Gotham to see a brain specialist and ran into Luke Fox. He has an appearance in Superman as Diggle, and in Flash as Diggle. He also has an appearance in Legends of Tomorrow but he won't be playing Diggle in that one. But his appearences in Batwoman, Superman and Flash have to do with him becoming Green Lantern. Also he will be in Supergirl.

This show is an absolute masterpiece. I was skeptical at first but it might have became the best show in the arrowverse right now. It’s first season is up there with the Flash and Arrow first seasons.
