I first seen him in Road to Perdition when he was a baby boy. Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Daniel Craig, and Jude Law. Not a bad way to debut.

Smallville will forever have a special place in my heart. The first time I saw and realized live action superheroes can be part of the same universe. The first “Justice League” episode with Clark, Impulse, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Green Arrow is ingrained in my brain.

Lois and Clark having kids in this series in a way picks up where the 1990s “Lois & Clark” series starring Teri Hatcher & Dean Cain left off before it got cancelled at the end of the fourth season. In the final episode they find a baby in their home and if the series continued, we would have seen them being a family as parents to this child.

@Ben Holmes Not only that, it was also a different time. Back when superheroes weren't the Top A Teir for Hollywood. Yes we had xmen blade and punisher, but to the extent where the mcu started success have attracted the big actors like Kurt Russel, Sam jackson, and Michael Douglas just to name a few. If life was like that back then, then yeah maybe wearing the superman suit wouldn't look so bad from Tom's point of view.

Hi! So it wasn’t supposed to be 2 hours but we filmed so much amazing footage they didn’t know what to cut and then after Christmas they made some new scenes to extend it to 2 hours because it was so awesome!

HBO Max chipped in with the budget of this show. They made the suit and everything. That's why it looks and feels the way it does. HBO Max is also chipping in with other upcoming Arrowverse shows. Naomi, Yara Flor, etc.

Man of Steel:The Series. I like that family is going to be center of this. I have enjoyed his portrayal of Clark/Superman. After Crisis on CW, does Clark have memories of his kids growing up? Looking forward to it.

Maybe I'm just over my CW drama phase, but it's doesn't pull me in. Or maybe the very real world marital stress of a negligent work-aholic spouse isn't appealing to me in these times...not that I am married. Or maybe it doesn't make sense in the context of being a literal superhero.

Keep in mind Clark isn't the first married superhero in Arrowverse. Both Oliver (Arrow) and Barry (The Flash) had kids before Superman in Arrowverse.

Black Lightning also has smaller seasons and cinematically feels tighter than the other CW shows. It's a shame it's ending with season 4. I don't really hear you guys comment about that show much, which is also a shame.

Also, hopefully this might be the new format/style going forward for some of these shows given the news from the other day. Superman & Lois was a shared production so more money was injected into it. Its first ruin will debut on the CW Network and then it will also get an encore airing a week or two later in the WarnerMedia family on TNT, furthering the reach of the show, followed by the streaming of course going to HBOMax. If this works for Superman & Lois and is successful on both formats ratings-wise, maybe it will lead to more co-productions overall.

i'm a lot more psyched for this series than I was when they first announced it. when it was first announced, i'm like "oh man, their reachin now." but now i think this could be a solid series, not only a solid addition to the arrowverse but a great vehicle to make the arrowverse something more.

If I am not mistaken. In the 90's DC had to quickly get the Married issues out within a short time they were not ready for, due to the marriage episode would had aired some months before the issues were scheduled to be printed. And all of the story lines where put on hold until after the honeymoon.

It's not *quite* a two-hour premiere, it's a 90-minute first episode and then some 30-minute special about the show.

I'm excited for the CW shows. They have been very entertaining to watch, even if they are a little formulaic with the same week to week flow. I still think they do a good job of building out characters and building a world. The crossover events alone are worth having the shows in place. Would have loved for DC to take a different approach and build on their TV universe then take it to film. Imagine them building to Flashpoint or Crisis and that was a movie instead of just the crossover event.

The 22 episode format could work if Hollywood would recognize how amazing the writers and producers of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D are! I gave up on the CW DC shows, not enough character development, but I'm hardcore feeling this. I'm trying to temper my hype and not get too excited - it just hurts worse if the show gets bad!

Hector speaking my language, with Peter and Clark being the first heroes being married in their respected universes. YES on the Jorge Jimenez love. That guy is a legend in the making and needs to be busy 24/7. I was such a fan of Jodie Houser's Renew Your Vows and how fresh(and just right) it felt as married Peter Parker story. Need Marvel to come to there senses in the comics. Have also loved the Superman Family since DC rebirth. Cant wait for this show. What intrigues me most is that he has two kids...is one of them Con?

Im with Hector, I want to see another Spidey and MJ wedding. And I think that's what Nick Spencer's current run in the comics is leading up too. And what happened in the comics wasn't that they were no longer married and then remarried it was that the Post-Crisis, Pre-New 52 married versions were kidnapped by Brainiac, wiped from everyones memory and then escaped during Convergence and reintroduced in Rebirth

My only critique is the suit looks a bit too padded so his head looks really small compared to the rest of his body lol. But with the cw shows they usually tweak the suits throughout the seasons so I can see the same thing happening here.

This is the superman I want.....I m hyped...... Not that Man of Steel Clark Kent who pretty much feels like Bruce Banner I never read comics but Smallville Arrow Doom Patrol and Flash from cw is the only stuff that kept me interested in DC properties and who can forget Dark Knight trilogy

Never could get into Supergirl, mainly due to how political and dull it was, but the biggest problem was how they treated Superman in it. I’m okay with Kara being stronger than him, that isn’t an issue. What I do have a problem with was how they dumbed him down for the sake of making Supergirl look better than she actually was. It was stupid and disrespectful to the character. That being said, I am interested in this new show. Looks good.

Im keeping my fingers crossed, especially where this and Stargirl Season 2 are concerned! Prior to them moving to the CW they were the DC shows I was looking forward to the most! So question... as a guy that just literally turned 41 on Monday Im looking at Bitsie Tulloch & Tyler Hoechlins ages... and then their kids ages.... and umm.... DUDE, why are they always trying to make these hot young people OLDER than they actually are!?! lol I cannot abide the idea that 33 year old Tyler Hoechlin & 40 year old Bitsie Tulloch have 2 teenage boys!?! Those kids look like they are 17 years old! When did Clark have his kid, 16?! In the words of the profit Tommy Lee Jones: I will not sanction this bafoonery or rampant ageism! Lol jk Its not fair man, its not fair! 😜

I love Superman, the character. NO matter how may new heroes pop up, he will always be the one. But the way they handled this iteration like a jobber to lift Supergirl up. I have ZERO interest in this useless version, actually makes me angry everytime I look at him. Never watching this.
