Superman & Lois - Angry TV Review 

Catching the car midair and saving someone isn't exclusively Superman. That's any superpowered hero, including Superman. Grabbing the kid's hat and handing it back to him, checking up on him and sharing a laugh. That's Superman. And its great to see it again.

I liked the part when Joe was talking about adds and how they don't have 41 adds on their videos and then I got an add! Comedy gold!

The biggest problem with the CW shows is time. The reason why many of their shows start strong is because they get a lot of time developing the show before they get it on air. But after the first season or two, they work on a much shorter schedule. They have to start working on the next season right after the current season is done. They have like 4 months to work on the next season before it starts shooting. Whereas when they start developing a show, they get way more time to come up with ideas, develop stories, make changes, etc. before they even go into production. A lot of those shows would be better if they had fewer episodes and longer breaks between seasons. But the network won't go for that because they're still operating on old TV rules.

I’m just surprised by the aesthetics of it, it doesn’t look like a typical CW show. Def going to give it a try.

This show doesn’t belong on The CW.. it’s way too good for it. I’m hoping this becomes like Cobra Kai and gets a new network. Having The CW attached to its name is already giving it a bad name, which it doesn’t deserve after a pilot that amazing

I was so happy watching this. Feels like the writers truly care about Superman

I love that he dies of a heart attack and not like a fcking tornado or some shiz. It's symbolic-something that Superman CAN'T save him from. He can do all these amazing, SUPER things, but death comes for you all the same. He can't stop death. So for his father to die from something he COULD save him from, and had AMPLE TIME to save him from, WITHOUT being exposed, but was TOLD not to by his father for....some reason was just.....ugh. Whata mess that film was.

I watched Smallville on Hulu and the Superman lore is amazing. I really like Superman more than I ever have.

I was really shocked by this episode of this show. I was going into this show with low expectations because of what supergirls show did to this superman. CW has definitely made improvements to this superman and lets hope that the CW doesnt screw this up because this superman definitely needs redemption thats for sure.

Hoping that Sarah doesn’t become a love interest and her boyfriend turns out to be a nice guy and connects with Jordan. Sick of that trope.

Fantastic show. Credit where credit is due. Everyone should give it a watch. A lot of effort has gone into this pilot and if the rest of the season is even half as good as this then it’s looking pretty good.

We desperately need some good Superman media outside the comics. I’ve always preferred marvel heroes as I find them and their stories to be more relatable and interesting, but I like DC’s flavor of superheroes and it’s been so long since Superman was good outside of comics that I’m starting to forget I even like the character. Please remind me why Superman is so awesome, WB.

I was a big fan of Smallville when I was a kid and this show gave me memories of that show.

I watched to see if it was any good... and I was incredibly surprised.

I guarantee you that Jordan had trouble growing up with his "mental issues" because his Kryptonian dna was trying to express its genes and his human dna was subconsciously repressing his kryptonian development. Him not knowing his heritage was his body trying to "keep itself" so to speak as a defense mechanism. Kind of like Atreus in God of War being sick for all his life but the moment Kratos tells him the truth that he is part god, Atreus gets steadily stronger throughout the game.

The show is amazing the cinematography and atmosphere, the cgi was perfect. Even the score(background music) was perfect. And Lois is what everyones wife is suppose to be like, strong and supportive and smart. Its pretty much a snyder tv show. Looking forward to more!

I was very patiently waiting for the first episode to drop so that everybody who commented negative comments on your trailer video would be proven horribly wrong. I’m getting a kind of sick satisfaction in knowing that the first episode was great and that people were wrong.

I had a thought when Martha... I teared up a little and I was like "is it the show making me tear up or am I tearing up because I know this character so well that I'm attached from other media"... And it was the second one. I liked the episode, 7/10.

The angsty son will definitely be gaslighted by Lex to go against his father, but in the end they will team up to defeat Lex. And the other one will feel betrayed and so on. STANDARD soap opera (a ton of ads in a 1-hour episode) CW stuff.

I love this show and I am super happy they are adapting Superman rebirth series from the comics and doing the Superman family Justice which makes me so happy 😀

The sons were great, was not expecting to like them but i did. Was better than man of steel.

It was amazing!!! I had no faith because of how they treated him in Supergirl. But they are using Crisis as a reboot. The CGI the camera lighting!! The feel of the show! Please please keep it up!

I like it, he looks good and it’s an impressive start to a series with a great amount of positive feedback. Personally, I still prefer Cavill’s Superman, but I’m always open to see what others can do.

superman isn't boring because the lack of a tortured personality, hes boring because hes invulnerable. Most superheroes fail to entertain because of this - you always know they will win cause they can't be hurt.

At the mark where Joe mentions they don't have as much ad's, an ad with a blue elf face showed up staring intensely at me.😫...

Even though this episode is good we still need to watch out for later episode's just in case.

The real villain of the show was whoever set up that Wi-Fi router in the barn 40 ft in the air. How was Martha supposed to reset that router if her connection got slow?

I don't normally watch all these superhero drama series, but I enjoyed this and hope to continue watching. Loved the part where Clark walks on his son playing Injustice, got a good laugh out of that.

Redeeming the man of steel is off to a great start

Clark running after Pa Kent died had me laughing. Legit the same thing Bruce did for his parents death in bvs. Can we find other means of showing that these kids are taking the loss of their parents to heart.

I liked Tyler Hoechlin as Superman even on Supergirl. I thought he embodied the wholesome, boyscout, campy Superman that I like, but he just didn't look like Superman to me. This was a very strong start to a new series, in my opinion, I hope they can keep this momentum.

The initial run of Superman Rebirth found plenty of ways to drive stories about Lois, Clark, and Johnathan without forced angst. Why include a Boruto style "I hate you dad" character?

I really loved this pilot ! Going in with medium expectations since the 1st trailer was pretty impressive it met those expectations and even exceeded them in certain areas I didn't expect. Classic Superman and Lois stuff (awesome!!) while grounding the characters with this family dynamic made them so relatable. Even the sons were likable/sympathetic and their relationship didn't follow the stereotypical trope way you'd think it would based on face value.

They opened Supergirl with the Astra invasion plot almost exactly as it played out in the early 2000s pre N52 comics including some shots taken straight from the panels. Similarly Stargirl had the Geoff Johns JSA Gen2 foundation story moved to a high school again with shots taken straight from the comics. I think they really want to do something separate from known plotlines in this one.

Much like Filoni did when creating ahsoka the writers here def trolled the audience with Jordan & Johnathan by making them a bit tropey at first. Halfway through season 2 and Jordan & Johnathan are some of the best crafted & most interesting characters with the most on screen growth. Jordan's arc is particularly great as watching him have to sacrifice so much to follow in his father's footsteps is being handled really well.

Its the same old biblical story of Cane and Able the brothers. One is good and the other becomes evil
