@@bryans2287 it's objectively the best show they have put out so far, and personally i enjoy every second of the show. i would have complaints but i would just be nagging about the small stuff, cause this is the Superman & Lois we deserve
i think thst they should create an secondary series, that reunite the entire arrowverse (not superman and lois instead), rewriting season by season while the years passes, just like, let's call this series "reboot", okay then: on reboot sesson 2, it will rewrite almost all the cw arrowverse series on it's season 2 and blah blah blah. using as an quality example superman & lois (advantages? probably no fillers, maybe just create new comic books as they did with arrow first seasons that's about some kinda of secondary storylines). something that is so hard to happen, sadly.
@@PJPLAY08 Unless they go by this show's route. Take a previously severely underrated side character from the main show who is undoubtedly more popular than the main character and build a series off them. Maybe a Wally West spinoff?
I just isn’t a fan dceu Superman’s approach(Henry is a great actor but he deserves better approach)in mos and BVS I don’t feel hopeful around him and the lack of personality and traits that makes him less relatable or likable “oh he’s not superman yet he’s becoming” hell Smallville did it first and we still know that’s Superman even before getting his classic costume
Why is no one talking about Supes taking out the kryptonite on his own. It shows major development and strength. Having flashbacks of his other responsibility as a father and husband was a great touch.
Also don't need super strength to take a knife out. A normal man could take a knife out a wound and since kryptonite weakens him to a normal man,...it's not impossible for him to remove it.
@@thirdworldrider6991 Its very rare for Clark to take kryptonite on his own. Watch and read all the appearances and he struggles. He usually requires outside help
@@atwunz That's the reason I don't hate MOS like most folks. Because a lot of the movie hit me in the feels as a lifelong Superman fan. But as a fan of the character I can't deny that the movie was flawed with Supes' characterisation. And don't get me started with BvS. That was just a tonne of shite.
For people out of the loop the reason this show looks so good cinematically is because they are in the process of having HBO Co-Finance their shows on the CW so eventually we’ll see Flash and other shows getting a boost in production
The cgi and soundtrack when he fights the slayer is just amazing. Also this show made me love Clark Kent and Superman so much like i always loved the character, since Mos, DCAU or Christopher Reeve era, the show doesn't look like an CW show, thank god, because i don't like CW shows because of they novel series cinematography or bad story.
As it should. It's 2021. That crap they did with supergirl and flash gotta be left in the past. We got the technology to have great quality superhero shows. Only difference that should be with movies is that it's longer
@Christian Stewart flash s1 isnt garbage flash simply became garbage later. Superman & lios is good...for now, hopefully they keep at the pace they're going but all shows fall eventually. Look at game of thrones and many more. I stand by if they dont have an ending planned in the next 2 seasons this show will fall to mediocrity. Superman should be treated like an antique not a tool for making heaps of money.
It has plenty of potential. If they can slowly work Bats into this story line it will become epic. Slow and low, hints of Bruce Wayne and Wayne Industries. Couple nibbles here and there.
He said "Kryptonite will make you sick" he didn't say kill him, so yeah def a multiverse Lex who is learning this superman. Also I'm calling it.. it's going to be Lex Luthor's father or a Brother... they are giving it the old "Flashpoint" treatment.
It's most likely just Lex since they basically confirmed he was from a universe destroyed by crisis. And the other options would seem odd for what he's said at the end of the show and here but it'd be a cool twist
He also clearly knew it'd kill him that's why he just let him fall and then said said dust to dust. It also technically doesn't kill him unless its put in a fatal place or he's exposed to it long enough so he's very accurate which is another reason why he said it. So this is where paying attention pays off.
I love this pilot! It made me tear up to see a great depiction of Superman. But how many of you feel that (even if the suit looks amazing) there is just too much padding?
Which is weird...Tyler Hoechlin is ripped, if you check his pics on Google. BUT, the abs padding is clearly unreal. Just wish they could tone that down just a little.
I think I'm the only one that wishes that this wasn't part of the arrowverse. The Arrowverse has been lacking lately/has become silly and I'll rather this show just be separate and create their own hero-verse.
Then people are gonna say "But Superman is way stronger than Doomguy!!!11!!" Even though lore wise he is able to punch holes through demon flesh which is comparable to stell, take down a skyscraper tall titan with his fists, oh and also killed literally God who was also Satan. Which makes him strong enough to kill Darkseid and superman because neither of those two have faced God yet, Doomguy has.
@@gabelukasko6589 God is just a title and Superman has shown much better feats than Doom Guy. Also Darkseid himself is a God of "Fourth World" _(which consist of space deities which are not so different to Earth Gods like Zeus or Hades)._ If you have actually picked up a comicbook you'll realize just how ridiculously overpowered Superman is, He was able to punch thru reality, shatter the space and time continuum and was able to pull an entire solar system without breaking a sweat what makes him even more powerful is that he has limitless strength so he'll just get even stronger.
@@intrex9828 "God" is a title, true. But again, in the case of Doom slayer killing God who was also Satan, Doom slayer killed someone truly omnipotent. In DC comics, The Presence is the only one who is omnipotent with Lucifer Morningstar being second to him. Superman can sure give Darkseid a hell of a beating, Mr Myxp something, and all those people a challenge, but he hasn't really killed someone truly omnipotent like Doom Slayer has. But yeah, Superman is far from a joke, he's taken down enemies humans can't even fathom, enemies Superman himself couldn't even fathom. For me, I doubt Doom slayer would fight Superman mainly because superman is a hero. Doom Slayer does seem deranged, but he's far from evil. He hates evil and wants to eradicate it.
@@intrex9828 Yeah, exactly. Darkseid is no joke, Superman isn't either. It may not have ever really been shown in gameplay mechanics of DOOM, but Davoth, The Dark Lord and also God himself, is revealed to be the creator of all things. So it's clear that Davoth is omnipotent to the true meaning of it, and Doom slayer still took him down. Superman has taken on Soulfire Darkseid though, that is insane, knowing that Soulfire Darkseid killed the source. But I really do get what you're getting at, but I just don't think even Cosmic Armor? I think that's what it's called, that superman is omnipotent, he's extremely powerful, but not omnipotent. But yeah, you do bring up good points, but just the sheer fact that Doom slayer killed someone omnipotent who created the multiverse that Doom slayer resides in is quite the feat. And then Hugo Martin, director of DOOM, revealed that even Davoth had a creator, meaning a True God and that Doom slayer is gonna take him on somehow, and honestly, I don't see how that's gonna work, but from what I know, Doom Slayer's power is rapidly increasing. Also, didn't Superman lift 150 quintillion tons too? So again, I get where you're coming fron.
@@wesdionne278 Imagine not knowing Doomslayer, one of the most iconic and famous video game characters of the past 30 years. And yes, even non-gamers know him, since he's basically Mario, Master Chief and Pikachu tier (what a funny comparison).
This is CW no way! Not going to lie it looks like a similar style to Man of steel. Zack Snyders lens work as well as color and tone to a extent gave them inspiration. I'll be adding this to the list as I haven't watched anything superman related on the CW since Smallville which was a masterpeice.
I agree!! I have never really been a big fan of any shows on the CW network!! But I am going to add this show to my Amazon Firestick to start watching!
@@tra129iscool how is it "bad art direction" ? they obviously did that on purpose because you literaly see the suit regenerating, and not just edited back to normal.
He actually said he always imagined himself playing Batman. I did here that he actually auditioned for MoS but I think that might not be true because he didn’t mention it in a recent interview. I’m liking him a lot as Superman, just hope they sort of the muscle padding in the suit, it doesn’t always look bad but it is noticeable and have him clean shaven, the stubble isn’t working
@@theonlyethanhiroshiki Ah, STFU. Everybodys not SUPPOSED to think the same thoughts. WTF is WRONG with you weirdo fans? It was my opinion, last I checked that wasnt illegal. Some of you people are so over the top with your fanboy nonsense. Go read a book without pictures for a change.
The CGI, 2:05 scene when Superman flies, Luthors voice, soundtrack, those are kind of things that makes me think that this series will be forgotten soon. Want to add that the cast and story is great, love how Taylor really nailed it as supe, but, I think I’m sticking up with Cavil’s performance.
This is potential to be popular tv shows. I hope that Superman& Lois and The Flash will be crossover and race that duplicate comic of Superman and Flash race.
Honestly I feel like we’re getting the best of everything with this Superman, Superman Returns flying and power using aspects, with hints and similar tone to MoS but without the dread and mindless action, to Hoechlin’s charming and good natured take on Clark. I just hope they sort out the padding on the suit and have Tyler clean shaven, I get what they’re going for with the stubble but it isn’t working. Some of the dialogue between the teen characters is a bit awkward and cringey but they’re likable and not cardboard cutouts.
@@BigBerker You are right but this version of luthor is like a hero he must of had an evil superman on his earth which is why he wants revenge on the good superman?
Honestly after appearing on Supergirl, I expected not to like this version of Superman. But this show has completely won me over. Keep up the great work!
I know same Tyler Hoechlin really grew on me as Supes for sure. I feel like if anything seriously bad happens to him in this show I would cry like a baby cuz his Superman is so down to earth and kind.
I start to like him like clark and superman because of this pilot, i didnt like him in supergirl or crossovers episodes, i think it's because he didnt have to much effort or spot, but here was amazing.
OMG...he`s the Sups we`ve been dreaming about for so many years. Smiling, not angry, that Man of Steel from classic Christopher Reeve films. What a great story this TV-series is.
Sounds like a Luthor who survived Crisis. Wonder if he'll meet the other Luthor. What makes this interesting is that although Superman is god-like, he does have limits and can be beaten up. It gives the feeling of possible defeat to it that makes it interesting.
NGL this scene was well done. But this is still a CW show, so it will turn into a cringefest pretty soon. I honestly think WB is the one that insults its characters the most, Superman, Batman (and the other JL top guns) should be done properly, with a high budget and on the likes of HBO.
Dude, Zack Snyder insults superman the most..his superman sucks so much.. Having watched the whole season ,Superman and Lois did Superman Justice, ..Also, yall need to thank HBO max money for why this show looks good..You all want quality shows like this..seasons need to only be 10 episode max, not this 20 episode and filler shit..Also, superman is the BIG three, Flash and Arrow aren't even part of the big three
this is why i love DC , before this series many of the audience said that he's overpowered , alien-being , etc, but in this series they showed superman as normal family -man , and also his responsibility for his family and same time taking responsibilty for his city, ❤❤
Fr, I really don't see why people want him so buffed. It's not like he worked out to get so buffed, he had these powers since he was a baby (doubt working out would've changed much too)
