This show is truly a celebration of everything Superman with nods to the Donner films, Smallville and Man of Steel I wish they made a Batman show that celebrated Batman with nods to the Burton films and the Nolan films like a Gotham show but with an Active Batman as the lead (Gotham started off well looking into the Crime family’s but got carried away introducing villains who Batman helped create despite no Batman present. Instead the show should have been about a young Roman Sionis and Oswald Cobblepot making their way up the ranks of the Falcone and Maroni families they could have explored Falcone having an illegitimate child rather than Catwoman already being active).

From new trailer I think new Batman movie will have best of previous iteration of Batman in movies all combined. Gothic feel of gotham from Tim Burton's movies, dark and gritty nature of Nolan's movies, brutal and technical genius of Snyder's movies. Also, special mention about psychological problems of DCAU movie (Batman mask of phantasm).

Apparently, Jor-El is eccentric among kryptonians as being more open minded and benevolent...also being a somewhat better father than Morgans(Assuming Morgan's dad is the baseline for kryptonians as he was the genetic capability of Lara at the time...It would be also safe to assume that Jor-El didn't have anyone else to be genetically compatible with while he was alive if that was the case.)

Hopefully COIE can retcon that power level crap, Superman should be much more powerful than SG but when you have a show ran by woke writers over actual accurate source material that's what happens. I agree this scene is totally a perfect blend of the 3, though this version of Supes isn't nearly as OP as Reeve's or Welling's versions but that's ok.

He will always have that little voice in his head holding him back. Kara learned how to fully embrace her powers from day one.

A story or particular universe that can be the case but im talking overall shes not more powerful than he is, he's charged at the heart of the sun and been a million times more powerful than Kara ever was ie superman 1 million....Silver age he's more powerful and he's got much better feats than kara does so by that alone proves Clark is way more powerful actually. Smallville and Reeves versions also way more powerful than their earths SG. Most people also judge by feats not so much who's on earth longer. CW nerfed Clark due to PIS and woke stuff making Kara look better. I can guarantee you anynother universe no way she'd beat him down like that lol.

This Fortress of Solitude makes more sense than the pile of crystal pillars from the Donner films. With its low profile like a natural part of the ice, no satellite would discern it.

I hope this show does'nt milk all the way to season finale cuz everything superman he does right is so perfectly good especially Tyler Hoechlin is a better fit to modern superman since the dawn of Christopher Reeves Superman.

I never imagined that the Superman from Supergirl would not only have his own show but become arguably the best live action Superman to date. I say arguably because I still prefer Henry Cavill and Christopher Reeve, plus Brandon Routh kicks ass in his own right. I would kind of include Tom Welling but we never got to see him as Superman. Tyler has an advantage by embracing all that came before him and applying their influence in to his own role and performance, whilst maintaining his own identity.

i mean who can not relate? u walk all the way up into the middle of the arctic. for days probably weeks, thrugh −89.9 °F, guided by a glowing rock and then, when u finaly arrive at the destination and nothing happens for 28 secons u call it quits and throw everything in the dirt.thats a real gen "y" right there.

Compare his run to the flash movie silly run.. even when he runs here as a kid you get the feeling of that immense power behind his moves. Flawless transition. This series is a real game grounded in actual reality, with realistic relationship dynamics and a lots of character growth for many characters. And the music elevates is all even further! Everyone involved in making this show especially the actors can be very proud of their work.

This is so good, I even like it more than the Snyder version with Henry Cavill. The Snyder version feels a bit long and quite dull expect the sound track and the sound barriers

I think this version takes inspiration from all previous adaptations of Superman. You can see Snyder inspiration in the cinematography and the monologue of getting powers from the sun is almost the same like Man of Steel. This show has a good balance in tone.

I love this show and all there actors but especially the young Klerk Kent this (now young man ) has shown his great ability in acting from many years. He has done great roles.
