He saved the entire planet earth in this movie, rescued a bunch of girls from getting raped, protected who knows how many people from the drug cartels, and like Moses, killed a slaver for abuse. This Superman rocks.
In case you were wondering (which I know none of you are) the robots, or "Metal Men", in the original comics are each named after a metal element. The 2 that are named in this movie are Tin (the little grey one) and Platinum (the sexy silver one). The rest are; "Mercury" is the red-tinged one. "Gold" is the dark yellow-ish one. "Iron" is the blue-tinged one. And "Lead" is the dark grey tinged one (the one the previous 3 fuse into in the movie).
Well. It was an original thing. Til everyone did it at the same time. I particularly like this superman. Son of Zod, ultimately a man still determined to do good, whos still learning how to be a better hero.

Prime wasn't Superman, the John Byrne sand creature Superman wasn't Superman. 52 wasn't Superman. Though I will give Kingdom Come Superman an honorable mention.
The Shootist this is Superman as much as the rest are Batman and Wonder Woman. Going by your logic Kal-L of Earth 2 was the real Superman (since he was literally the original before the Crisis reboot) and because characters get rebooted and changed every once in a while. I'd love to see a crossover of thos Earth with one of those that have the traditional Justice League. Just the idea of seeing Clark and Hernan interac makes me interested.

Epicman 11 it was planned from the beginning for different reasons. The government did it as calmly as possible to avoid crossfires. If it was done between a monster attack it wouldve been chaos.
In this movie, Superman and the other two were all set with killing but then after this that decided not to. They decided not to be the monsters that everybody portrayed them to be. Especially Superman, after he learns what kind of man his father was he decided to not be like him Imho. That’s why I love this movie!
Wrong. The classic Superman is a good man who grew up with loving parents, holds himself back against "a world made of cardboard", and has at least seen the unedited archive of his parents that gave him a piece of his heritage. This adaptation on Lor-Zod had a similar family upbringing, but was dealt with a heavy hand that it shaped him to be harsh yet honorable hero; even if the archives he initially received are merely edits by Dr. Luthor because he feared that the alien would become as cruel as his biological father.

Zack Snyder should have made Hernan Guerra live action instead of Clark Kent if he wanted dark and gritty Superman that has realistic moral code and ethics.
I watched this movie a while back, and I know these comments are old, but it makes me happy that I'm not the only one who liked this version of the JL better. Especially superman, his design is so simple yet badass
@@Scarletraven87 buddy, superman has, on multiple occasions, used the sun as his personal tanning room. and i mean the core of the sun. superman can survive in space, even if the water in his blood does evaporate, he clearly doesn't need it too much.
SupernaturalCupcake - They probably didn't get further than to the mantle 30 miles down, but anyway. I'd imagine that the earth and rock compressed into the sides of the hole comes falling down, filling the hole again. It would take a while for the city to fill the pit left behind after the collapse, but they would manage. Why not build a new underground parking lot while they're at it?
Annnnnd as usual, there are NO accountability for any possibly people INSIDE THE BUILDINGS when superman decides to punsh enemies through them, and possibly killing anyone in the way. All buildings are just magically empty and all the destruction is magically repaired after superman's one of many fights in the city instead of taking the fight to outer space - which would be logical because he wouldn't have to consider the surroundings....
Dreez76 Well... This superman ( *Hernán Guerra* ) actually _did_ wreak havoc when he fought an enemy in Mumbai (prequel comics). Thousands of people died in the raining rubble that day, and among them was Lois Lane's father who worked as a doctor in the slum. In _this_ scene, Metropolis had been evacuated hours before the military attack on the JL HQ. But I see your point.

Only minutes earlier Superman got beaten up by the US army, which weakened him significantly. If he had been given time to recover, this fight would have been _much_ shorter.
here is my opinion on superman( origina) and this superman (son of zod) superman(original) weaknesses -fear of loosing control -looses to batman on several occasions -had tendencies to run on rougue -had less political will or in batman's term the do it all alone strategy -kryptonite -red sun superman (son of zod) weaknesses -kind of arrogant don't take me personally people but the son of zod superman is a lil better than superman original why? for starters a son of a scientist and a general makes you better in combat and in science you know your enemies weakness while battling and at the same time using your head (like batman ) superman original is born to 2 scientist and the head of the council or rather part of the council weak? kind of but also has strengths more on talk and action but does not know how to analyze the situation of combat or if he knows the strength in combat is lacking so if superman and superman son of zod meet probably the 2 will agree bout krypton but disagree on the fact that the son of zod is more heavily armed in combat. so how is superman original not fully equipped? he is equipped with more powerful powers yes but utilizing it probably is the problem, he lets his fear and ego run him. batman on our earth and superman son of zod will agree on how to handle things especially on combat.
Classic Superman, for all his power, is at least a decent man due to being brought up right by Jonathan and Martha Kent in Kansas, while learning to restrain his powers for the safety of others. Hernan Guerra, on the other hand, was brought up in harsh circumstances (he landed somewhere in a place where he is labeled as an illegal alien by American standards) that made him bitter and willing to use deadly force in order to survive. Also, you couldn't even bother to include red sun radiation for Hernan? It can weaken Kryptonians who have been augmented by Earth's lesser gravity and yellow sun.
