Wagie, wagie! Get in cagie! Boss needs help now don't be lazy Zero breaks will make you crazy I'll tell the guards to get their tazie Need to get those new iPhones Got to pay those student loans Work your fingers to the bones Bosses need vacation homes Don't trust unions, vote in pairs Buy all of boss' consumer wares We'll stay seated in our chairs And make our bosses millionaires Love your work, love the pain Feel the life drain from your brain Think of all you have to gain As your dreams go down the drain Come on wagie, join the crew! Don't you want your wages too? And if the boss man makes you blue You deserve it, you're a screw! Weekend comes 'round after ages You can come collect your wages Throw your parties, have your rages Then get back into your cages
A slight oversimplification likely designed with the intent to paint Capitalism in a bad light, and to blame most hardships and woes upon the economic system of capitalism, although the system we exist under is not a true capitalistic system. If you want to improve the quality of life for all, then work towards having an economic system that is more aligned with capitalism, but don't ever be fooled that replacing capitalism with some other type of a system will improve conditions for everyone, for it will not. Doing so will only improve things for an incredibly small group of people, and will only make matters significantly worse for everybody else.
All that’s missing is the 80’s music and slowly losing my sanity. Even to this day I get Vietnam era flashbacks whenever I hear certain songs. Thankfully my current jobs health plan covers my therapy costs. So im getting help. I just wish the nightmares would stop.
@@DJl3iohazordi worked in a restaurant once where It was so busy and understaffed that I’d wake up multiple times per night sweatin from a nightmare of just the ticket printer printing tickets. I quit that job VERY early. Now I manage a headshop which I mean… still retail, but I pick the music, and I’m there alone all day. Minus shit bag customers it’s not so bad.
@@Albert_EGGsker it's a crusade, it's only a conquest if we win. However we never will, because Oboe knows if he gives in this one time his credibility is gone forever, and deep down we know it too, yet still we go on. The folly of man
I guess I missed the part where the skinny guy with the shaved head and ratty winter jacket grabs you by the shoulders and asks you if you've met Jesus. Can never have a truly complete simulator I guess.
Reminds me of when I used to work as a cashier at a Chinese grocery store. Couldn't read or understand Chinese but it was still an enjoyable and interesting experience. Always awkward when a regular American customer would attempt to speak Chinese to me thinking that I must be from China if I'm the cashier. Funny story though, so we sold lots of live fish like eels, lobsters, crabs (a huge live king crab one time) and so on. At least once or twice a week they would find some way to escape their tank and someone would spot a live crawfish or crab walking around the store. One time a crawfish actually somehow made it outside of the store. Fun times.
I have ADHD and fidget with shit all the time.. i was working at night at the airport at a check in counter... i was leaning against the counter cause nobody was there.... i was fidgeting with something... i was never told it was there or what it did... next thing i know SWAT storms the counter... because i pulled it like 30 times....i was like holy shit what? and then learned it was the emergency calll button for suspecting or finding someone on the terrorist watch list.... the regional manager came to write me up for the "prank" and was threatening to fire me.... I refused to sign the write up saying only. "Not one person ever explained or told me how or why to use it and if i sign the paperwork i'll call DHS and report them for not explaining it." He calmly tore the paperwork up and flew out on the next plane.
The grocery store I worked at never got robbed and we didn't have a panic button, but we did get threatened by an ex-employee so we had to be escorted out by the police every night for a week. The fast food place I work at has one panic button that I know of for people working outside in the drive-thru, haven't had to use it yet but from what I've been told we have to hold it for like 10 - 30 seconds for it to alert police
The gamestop I worked at never got robbed. Probably because I'm 6'3 and carried 2 giant knives prominently on my belt. Gotta love my boss for being chill about it.
Since the game reminds us of our favourite first part time jobs, I'd like to use this comment as a space to discuss whether fast food or retail is worse. I'm pretty sure most people either worked one or the other, but if anyone worked both, let me know you're verdict
Worked both, and it really depends. Retail is more lax overall, but drags on for so long and doing truck unloading is hell no matter what. Fast food is stressful as hell, but the days usually go by quickly as long as you stay busy and there's multiple different rush times. I appreciate the experience I got from both because now I'm extremely nice to those service workers cuz I get it now.
I think it's funny gas station simulator has you doing skyrim lockpicking on people's trunks in the parking lot while pumping gas and manning the register
Trust me, this game isn't very fun after you have 30+ skus. All you do is run around opening boxes and filling shelves. Pro tip: set all your pricing $1.00 below "market" and only use whole numbers (rounding DOWN). This makes giving change easy. After you're making $200+ day in profits, hire a cashier, totally worth it. I wouldn't waste your time though, seriously, the goal is to grow and be profitable but it ends up being a game of stocking shelves.
i easily made 25k in this game in the first few days. i didn’t record this part but stream is up on my channel. i really enjoy this game but gets a bit boring after an hour or so lol. P.S: I started actively making videos/streaming, and would appreciate any support and recommendations of games to stream. God bless!
Most countries don't wash their eggs before shipping to stores, so they're fine on the shelf. Here in the US eggs get washed which removes the protective membrane and thus requires refrigeration. It can be an important thing to point out to people who are new to the country. We don't just put them in the fridge out of squeamishness (ha no, the squeamishness is what gets the eggs washed, causing the problem in the first place), but because of how we process them it's legitimately dangerous not to. If you're in the US and buy eggs from a grocery store, *refrigerate them.*
Diet drinks is worst then normal ones. Zero is far better than diet though. I had a few customers buy me a drink only cause their total was $6.66. Yay, free drink….but people are dumb sometimes.
