I found interceptor 650 an edge better, despite the narrow seat and tyre int offer better punch and acceleration, feels more planted. Agree on seat, int 650 has pretty bad seat but if u opt for seat modification (not the badly designed one' which look like a camel hump; suggest go for Sahara seats etc). On long rides, sitting on tail bone for long is also discomforting and changing the position will also be difficulty. Having ridden int 650 for good 7k kms I can say it's a bike which u love once u start loving with it. SG 650 I rode for some 50 kms is good but lacks on the punch, more sort of linear acceleration, the real testing of breaking would be understood in emergency situations, int 650 has good breaking but i doubt on the electronics of RE (ABS), have seen multiple videos complaining on locking of breaks, if that's the case the issue might be faced in SG 650 as well (only time will tell). So all in all I found both having their good share of advantages disadvantages over each other. You can ride both for long distances, but only after preparing your body for such rides, more saddle stay more ride experience, more longer you can ride. Happy Riding !!!!!
Finally a person who understands that SM650 feels a tad bit sluggish in acceleration in-front of 650Twins. I have been getting some comments that how can I say that SM650 is slow in acceleration when they have the same engine. Some People are not listing when I talk about the heavy weight and longer gearing. And I felt Int650’s breaking to be adequate and SM650’s are a bit better because of the stronger rear break. Which is needed because of the heavier weight. ✌🏻
This was the review i was looking for, a neat comparison between inty and sm650. My daily commute is around 25 kms and 2 biweekly rides of 500 km each . I will go for SM650, handsdown.
Just think.... U are almost spending 4 -5 lakshs and atleast it should feel and look premium. Considering this, SM is my choice and also, when considering the resale value and comfort, it is SM
Which is better for city rides? Love the looks of SM 650 but I don't intend to go for long rides. Maximum I would ever go for 40-60 KM within the city.
@@TurboDrag why, engine to dono me same h thoda bohot gear ratio change h , interceptor k to footpeg bhi takraate h aage peeche krne me ,mere hisab se dono hi thik h city ride or highway pr jisko jonsa style acha lagta h vahi lele
Engine Ki baat nahee hai, Apart from the engine these bikes have totally different Character. On SM650 you sit very Laid back and relaxed so Baar Baar tight turns Lena, Pair niche Lgana etc, cruiser ka ek jo mza hai vo khrab krta hai upar se Long Wheelbase & Long turning Radius bhee ek issue hai Tight Turns k like. Where as a Cafe Racer ko in sb Points me Koi Problem ni aaygi, more flickable and not so laid back posture. Yes Dono bikes ka he mza hai city me bhee, But for me a Cafe racer will be above a Cruiser any day for city use. Yr Footpegs Vala issue much kbhee Aya nahee, But Maine Suna kaafi Baar hai, Maybe mai legs thodi wide place krke Aage peache karta hu isliye. Will ask INT650 Owner about this.
lol - you are thinking to buy for City ride, no offense then you should buy splendor or Activa, This bike is not ment for City Ride, No offense- I own RE650 & i only ride on weekends, Its Fun......choose your money wisely
Veere ab to Interceptor pe alloy ka option bhi agya so wobble ka issue kuch hadd tk resolve hogya plus.. new 2023 interceptor pe apko super meteor ki headlight aur switches bhi miljati along with usb port on the handle Thank you for the video.. I am diverting towards interceptor now
The one that is stable...Interceptor is not...so I heard...road grip and stability may be an issue with Interceptor. But RE is leading the race in 500 Cc plus bikes...unless Chinese are allowed to sell similar-looking bikes called Bullexin and Enfieldiyang.
Nice Comment Bro. Phr mtlb u want something in city & short rides k liye. I will prefer interceptor, because Supermeteor ka Maza highway pr zada ata hai. STILL Dono Bikes Ki Test Ride Lo & ho sake to lambi test rides lena, yaan multiple showrooms se le lena. Only then make the Decision. Both are great Bikes though.
