Meghan was a stunner! Everyone was captivated by her face and her personality: grounded, pleasant, kind, humble. She was one of the quieter supermodels who could go on skill and talent, and the designers who knew she was an asset to their presentation. She didn’t need or require to be the biggest, boldest, loudest girl. Why? Because she had...”it!” That’s a hard currency in the business.
Meghan Douglas really got my attention with her first ALLURE cover which was in April 1993. She was wearing a sparkly silver mini dress sitting on sand at the California beach. I had seen her before but she really was really showing the world her ability to be very versatile. Terrific runway model, even better in pictures. Her early days, talk about having giant thick Brookesque eyebrows! This girl had them and then with the supermodels being refined, Meghan was able to transform and work along side the superstar girls in which Meghan also had her moment of glory when she went red in 95. Vogue was giving her a lot of editorial work but never a cover. I wonder why? She was very good, beautiful with a twist. Very unique fun personality!
I never understood why this beautiful, stylish and sensual woman wasn't included in the golden group of legendary top models during those unforgettable 90's, sharing the throne where my beloved divas (Cindy, Carla, Naomi, etc) have been sat down...Stunning Meghan ! I wish we could see more of her now, I followed her since the nineties when she just seemed to stop modelling and concentrate on her family. I can imagine she's still exquisitely beautiful in her middle years.
