After much hesitation from Sam and Dean they finally let you go on a hunt on your own, it wasn’t that big of a hunt, a couple of days and before you know it you’d back at the bunker telling the boys all about it, well that’s what you thought at least.
You’re laying on the ground, pain shooting all over your body, you wince as you try and reach for your phone which was in your pocket and breath a sigh of relief when you see that’s not broken. You call up Sam and pray that he picks up. A couple of rings later you hear his voice filled with panic as he asks you where you are, you manage to reply before you pass out.
The next thing you know you hear someone running towards you and the familiar footsteps make you feel slightly at ease as you feel Sam gently grab you and is trying his best to stop the bleeding and a few moments later Dean also rushes to your side and inspects your wounds.
Sam picks you up as tentatively as he can and begins to make his way back to the impala where Dean is already getting into the drivers seat ready to rush back to the bunker.
You quickly arrive and Dean carries you to your room and carefully lays you on the bed and you hear Dean sit on the chair beside the bed. You feel yourself drifting in and out of sleep, Dean tries his best to keep you awake but it doesn’t work and you end up falling asleep.
Dean begins talking and you feel guilt and sadness weigh on you as he talks about how he failed to keep you safe, you want to wake up and tell him that the only time you’ve ever felt safe in your whole life is when you’re with them but you’re body is fighting back and you fall back into a deep sleep.
Soon Cas appears and heals you and you are no longer in pain but still exhausted so you remain asleep. You hear Cas and Dean leave you and soon after a new pair of footsteps slowly make their way over to your bed, and then a voice you haven’t heard in a long time begins to speak. A mixture of sadness and happiness washed over you as you heard Jack speak, it’d had felt like forever since you seen Jack and now here he was but it was not in the best circumstances. Not so long after Jack began speaking Cas came in and him and Jack began to speak and you couldn’t help but feel sorrowful as he told Jack about how they have to keep on living as they lose everyone they care about , and you just wished you wasn’t so tired so you could wake up and hug them both. Jack soon left the room and Cas remained and stayed there until You began to slowly stir and wake up.
You talked for a little while, as he made sure you were ok and asking what happened, you decided not to mention the conversation between him and Jack since it seemed personal but it still weighed heavily on your mind. You let out a yawn and Cas smiled and left you to go back to sleep.
Some time after Sam slowly opened the door and you sat up, he apologised for waking you up and walked over to the bed and you began to talk.
This situation made you realise even more that this bunker is your home, this is your life and more importantly that these people are your family and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
