i have a feeling the heart attack guy is an example of why death loves bad food, he takes a couple thousand people a day munching down on a double bacon cheeseburger or deep fried twinkie and thinks, man if they're willing to die for this stuff it must be good.
I mean in fairness everyone loves that kinda food saying that reminds me of the other day when I was with my poker society and one of the guys decided to move tables with his bacon king burger because he didn't want to disturb the vegetarians I was like mate if I wasn't one I would have eaten that too it looks fucking delicious.

Dean has never channeled death more than when he asked the dude who just died of a goddamn heart attack where the pizza came from. This is why we love OG death, and this is why we miss him so much.

He might meant chain vs. non-chain places, while both can have locations in the same vicinity the former is often not considered to be local while the latter is.

Not everything stems from a holy scripture, considering all of them were written by humans. Oh please, I'm not anti-theistic here, I'm merely pointing out that God may not be as human as humans would like to think. Believe in God, just don't in the Biblical version that exemplifies HUMAN FLAWS as justifiable. If the biblical God was a human, we'd consider him a lesser man.

So Dean has been Death, aka a Horseman, aka a Primoridal Entity. He has also been a Vamp, a ghost, a Demon/Knight of Hell, and a Jefferson Starship-Those weird Wraith-Vampire-Shapeshifter hybrids Eve made. He has been an Archangel in a way-possessed and given the powers but also full control of the Archangel. He has also been copied by Shapeshifters and Leviathans. And of course, he is human. He has been lots of different species.
You know... That first 25 seconds or so can really be read into in a philosophical way. "Am I suppose to magically know? What am I suppose to say?" Curios if they, meaning reapers and death can't spill the beans to dean because technically being alive he hasn't crossed himself yet, or if they themselves don't really know what it all means either and just use the "it's a job" mentality to keep on doing what they do as their place in the universe.
This reaper was freakin hot! Wish Supernatural had more chicks like this lately like in the earlier seasons. Jo, 1st Ruby, 1st Meg, this Reaper, the hot crossroads demons, the vengeful spirit at the bridge, the demon Dean got trapped with in the basement...🙂
I imagine that if Dean did this job completely, without letting his emotions get in the way, as Death would have, Death would not have helped Dean because no human should give up themselves to achieve their ends, to become like Death, just to reach their goals, its about appreciating the fragility and finality of life and being emotional when needed that Death even bothered to help after all this
I highly doubt that. The entire point of this was that he wanted Dean to see what happens behind the curtains. So, if Dean wouldn't have failed he would have upheld his end of the bet and learned how important the natural order is.
To be fair heart attacks don't look like that, I've seen someone die of one up close, they just drop dead with eyes open (some gurgling) but that's about it.
I maybe reading into this a little to much but is it me or does it seems as if death is testing Dean to become the new horsemen of Death because it was like most of the time he was trying to teach Dean and see how he would react to everything
I think Death took an interest in Dean is because of the small things they have in common. They both love bad food, but ultimately it was what the Famine had once told Dean, that his greatest crave is Nothing, because he was already dead inside. Food, sex, beer, these are just the little things he takes his time to enjoy to fill up the void inside of him, like Death.
