Shooting for that 500HP mark on the evo is going to take some little mods before we hop on the dyno.... and putting down 600+ with the Supra is going to take some sticky rubber! Download the free Neighbors app today @ ring.com/ADAM
Just a tip homie!!! When you're re-pinning wires to a new connector with the little grommet thing, you're supposed to push the rubber grommet up right before the stripped part of the wire. The end of the new pin with the little wrap around thing is supposed to wrap around the rubber grommet so you can push the pin with the grommet into the connector to stop any kind of corrosion with the wires!
I don't know, hard to tell from the footage, but it looks like a "clear" coat failing to me.... Potentially the grease from the failed CV boot getting cooked from the race track(brakes transferring heat to the wheel)? Weird never-the-less....
It's so sick to see Gobla on your vids after riding along with him at Seduced Drift Event. Adam, you should come to Poland and drift at Seduced or Next Level!
William Thao it may have been burning those new tires off or shifting way too soon like he said, but there are 4K lb Infiniti’s running 4 sec 0-6 times with 425hp. I’m making 333hp and only 280tq and ran a 4.7 0-60. I’m sure they’ll get it dialed in though!
The stains are very common on anodized volks. Some people use peanut butter to get rid of the white spots. I’ve been pretty lucky using spray wax after washing my te’s and the white spots go away.
Been running pilot super sports for a few summers and they are some amazing tires, haven't rode on p4s tires yet but I'd imagine they're an improvement. Money well spent for sure.
Brake fluid would destroy/ strip the paint coating even after a few hours. Happened to me after I got my wheels painted. But it could be related to brake dust or something
It's called water spots from dirty water. I did detail at Mazda, We used acid to take it off of car paint and windows. Wheels you have to be careful. I'd recommend a wheels product for that or youd have to just scrub them good and pray lol
Those are called carrier bearings on the driveshaft. That looks like it could be your vibration. I was thinking it was the exhaust, though. Great choice for tires! Michelin makes the best tires. Numbers proven.
Looks like Diesel DEF fluid on your wheels. Adams wheel cleaner will remove it. Let it sit for a minute or 2 and scrub it off with a nice wash mitt and foam/soap water mix.
Looks like hard water spots from like a sprinkler or something. My gf's car was covered from her apartments, and after trying tons of chemicals, I finally found a specific acid that you have to dilute a bunch, and that took it right off. Found a few detailing channels that recommended it. I ordered a gallon jug (it'll literally last forever..) from O'Reillys. It's called F-30 Acid.
Regarding the trans shifting differently, I would look into a trans tune for example with an auto n54 XHP and alpine are good ways to cut down your shift times. A trans tune might be your best friend
Time to ceramic coat the wheels! May be a lot of Iron in the water that you washed the car with or puddle you ran through. Or if you just mounted the tires maybe some of the lube/ grease that was used to help mount the tire. Also bought my t-shirt, ready to win that supra!!!
Don Draper dude, still. Two different cars, in many ways. People buy what they want. You could buy a brand new gt350 or a used gtr to say something. People buy whatever they want 🤷🏻♂️
At 1st I thought it was a good idea that you were going to do another year of Pro2 but now think you should go up to FD because the timing is perfect in the sense that you have the time, money, ability and crew right here right now and as more time passes it become harder and crew members move on. This is coming from a 39 year old who's been around.
I also have those etching marks on my car. I was driving behind a bus and the exact same looking substance was getting sprayed all over my windshield and the wipers couldn't get it off. I just held down the wash lever for about 30 seconds and most of it came off. I didn't get it off the paint yet though.
It might be some sort of polish. Once when I was trying to restore headlights and buffed with a drill with an applicator pad and it got everywhere lol and it left stains like that which needed a lot of elbow grease to remove.
It is possible that the vibration your feeling is due to the driveline angles, common problem with vans etc if they have uneven driveline angles they will get vibration through the shafts
Depending on what you break pads are made off sometimes when you get hot break dust of curtain breaks pads can actually take the clear powder off of wheels if they used a cheap powder for the clear
That sensor temp default is a sort of fail safe. If the sensor fails it will default so that your fueling stays somewhat accurate and the car will still run decent.
If you are using P&S Brake Buster as your wheel cleaner, that is most likely what those spots are from not risnsing it off fast enough. Thats what i get on my black Work Wheels if i leave it too long or don't though roughly rinse it off.
Adam, when you cut the Maf sensor wires, the cutters actually connect the 2 wires for a moment. Always snip them 1 wire at a time to prevent shorting the sensor or ECU and causing damage.
@adam & Tom It’s appears to be just hard water stains on the rims , it’s dangerous to the paint you need to get them coated or give em a clean after the rain or dry after wash .
Looks like hard water stains, possibly acid etching from acid rain but it would be on your paint as well. Ik where I live in Florida you have to flush or change your piping every couple years due to build up of calcium and limestone from the water. Don’t know how big of an issue that is in Connecticut. Could also be chlorine stains from city water.
not sure about the M/T's but i've daily driven on the Nitto's. there is a break in and testing that you should have done to find the pressure that works best for that car. if you are getting a lot of sway they may be aired down too much
Their is a product called "Shineseal" they have a bio cleaner it works really well, they also offer a sealant for metals so water beads right off when getting wet
I’d do a bit more research about the 2 piece prop shaft. I’ve heard by some good companies that it’s not worth it as you get too much vibration. The stock one is fine and you can still buy new bearing etc to refurbish it.
If anyone (or you) details your car with acid based wheel cleaners or if you have really hard water etching can happen. Try using a hard water spot remover. I know Chemical Guys has one.
they have to choose a default IAT temp so the car may run somewhat ...like limp mode , you wouldn't want it to default to -40 and dump a ton of fuel and add timing (this is really more relevant for the coolant temp ... not so much the IAT) that being it may be ideal for it to default to 140 though in the event you're racing and your tune pulls timing when the air is toasty also it's changing other values because it's probaly making a tiny amount of flyback voltage but i'm no engineer...
The MAF is sometimes combined with an idle air controller which tells throttle where to be to idle good, which is why you saw throttle moving @ 9:10. i think idk shit.
