I picked one of these up yesterday, having seen it on sale at a shop. It's about as good an Amp as you can get if you're looking for something low wattage. It doesn't need to be cranked to get that creamy sound with the boost/drive switches. You can use a pedal to activate them, and it works wonderful with Effects pedals. I use a Marshall custom shop JCM 1watt mini stack for my main home amp, but this is certainly a great alternative.
You can also take the output from the Delta King and plug it into the effects loop of a larger amp. Using the King as a pre-amp section, or blending the 2 pre's in the second amp! It sounds great as a pre-amp section alone, then using the second amps master volume to get more volume! 8) JMHO --gary
@@BrickDavis Well, I don't make videos, but I did some searching, and learned something myself! LOL. I learned that if you use the "line out" it deactivates the speaker on the small amp! If you go to the SuproUSA youtube channel page, find this video "Delta King 8 Demo with Zach Comtois | Supro" , the guy shows out how to do it. Best I can do, good luck!! 8) --gary
That's a really cool demo, I was on the edge of getting one of them bad boys myself. I play a bit more strumming, so I was concerned it wouldn't do that well, but the chord progression under the last track showed me that I'm in the green with that one!
@seandaniel23 Hey Sean, was wondering, have you ever played the Supro Statesman, i'm torn between it and the Black Magick. Got the Supro 2x12 cab (bargain and a half!), the fact the statesman has both the thunderbolt and amulet preamps, along with an effects loop, and the send and return volume controls takes me down that road, (you can actually play it at room levels!), but the Jimmy tones from the Black Magick are wonderful! Just using at home (got a room in the basement in the middle of the house dedicated) so the volume isn't that much of an issue. Your thought would be most welcome!
Sean I love it ! I feel like my waiter is saying right this way please . The lights are down low , your playing over on the side and my girl says I really like this place .
I'm stoked the 10 has real spring reverb. I have a Blues Jr but it would be nice to have something a little less powerful for the house that can get nice tone at lower volumes.
Brother I love your guitar- it’s somewhat similar to one of mine. I have a Höfner Very Thin President single cutaway. Mine is in a peppermint green color. Only two were made in that color -1 went to California and 1 came to Wisconsin ( mine) just love that semi hollow body sound. Yours is beautiful- that color and headstock set it off.
bought one brand new, crackled and would loose signal sparaticaly, if i fliped the boost switches then it would play clean again for a while. i sent it back, no problems, and received a different one with similar issue???...i absoloutely love the tone and perfect volume. i really want one that works!!
I have the stranger ns30E model amp, I use the zoom g1xon processor, fender squier bullet strat, I couldnt get gain or sustain effect like the tones in David Gilmour songs, is it the amp, I havent tried other amps, could you check and let me know the point of failure, I tried various settings in the processor, still couldnt get that gain and sustain effect,
neighbor, lmao. it's a nice amp. Tell everyone its what Jimmy Page used on the early records and they`ll sell like hotcakes. Little amps are great today. I got the Spark amp and love it. Also the tiny Blackstar Fly amp works great.
I had the blues king 10’ regret selling it the clean was beautiful and it took pedals better than any amp I ever had serious could get great punk, metallica tone with a couple pedals way better than this damn katana
I’m not sure why everybody plays this pseudo-jazz/funk style nowadays, especially in Supro demos, because I know exactly zero people who listen to music that sounds like that.
It's cause he is recording the direct out aswell as using a mic. Most direct outs with distortion sounds godawful, since you dont get the sound from the speaker
