Supta Virasana (Reclining Hero Pose) is considered as an intermediate yoga pose.
This posture is challenging for people with chronically tight deep hip extensors (gluteus maximum and hamstring).
Before going into asana it’s preparation is very important .
The steps i have shared in the video will help you to reach Supta Virasana without any injuries.
Preparatory steps are
1. Adhomukha to Urdhvamukha svanasana ( downward Facing Dog )15 times 3sets.
2. Anjaneya asana ( Low lunge )20 second 3sets.
3. lizard Pose 30 second 3sets
4. Ustrasana ( Camel pose )20 second 3sets
5. Virasana ( Camel pose ) 2 minute 3 sets
Beginners can go with the bolster variation which is in the final step and it’s very effective.
Note :In case of knee, back, ankle injuries you should consult a doctor before starting.
