Surf and Turf Salmon Cheesesteak with Jumbo Shrimp at Mt. Airy Deli!

I've recently moved from Philly and really miss the food! Me and my boyfriend used to love this spot. I actually met Nicole who was cooking your sandwich at a bar in Mananyunk. She was so cool and just striked up a conversation with us, told us her and her family got a deli in Mt Airy and we should come try the food. That was the first time we heard of that spot and it did not disappoint! So happy to see them getting highlighted, they seem like such good people

Salmon and shrimp is definitely a surf and surf, no turf present lol. I do love their steak variation with the fried shrimp though!

My kids used to go to Houston right up the street from this spot and I used to stop in the morning and grab some lunch from this place for them. This brother used to take his time and make my kids great little sandwiches and only charge me $5 for a sammich, juice and chips. It was always empty when I went in so we always had a chance to chop it up. Real good brother. Years later my woman told me about these salmon cheesesteaks from this spot in mt. airy so we went. Surprisingly it was this deli that had expanded its menu. I ordered a Po Boy in the style Groben’s that used to be up the street on Germantown Ave used to make it and he threw it together and it was amazing. This brother and his family deserves everything positive that comes their way. Philly, stand up and support

I lived across the street from the Mt Airy deli for about 8 year I probably went there almost every and tried at least 90% of the menu everything is flavorful and good you won’t find a deli with better tasting food

That's Mr Thomas and Family, I lived on the 7300 block of Devon in 1996. They always had good fresh food. I miss conversations with Mr Thomas. Hope you were ready for the overflow after J L's visit lol........

Giving the tastes of fresh food and with great flavor,as my mom’s would say people will always talk about you ,and what you do all your life.the salmon ,shrimp looks great fresh cooked very well.that’s a family with the right ,energy and love for what there doing, and so when the love is there heart will always be there to cook great food.

They've been there 27 years ... I moved out of Mt Airy just before they must have opened!!! Lincoln Deli was our corner, but IIRC there was a deli there when I lived around the area too ....

Where’s the turf part? I’d toast the inside on the grill with butter. Harvinskin’s still takes the cake; broccoli > spinach. But I’m digging the sauce. I think Harvinskin’s uses mayo. Love the owner of this spit. Great ethos: BE OPEN WHEN YOU SAY YOUR GONNA BE OPEN. Can’t wait to try this spot.
