Are your shoulders and upper back tired and sore from a lot of paddling? Sure! We overwork our shoulders and upper back - that is why they need gentle recovery stretches to feel good for the next time we surf.
This video is aimed at showing you stretches for the neck, shoulder, upper back and pecs. Most of these stretches are static stretches to relieve sore muscles, so try to hold between 3 and 8 breaths.
A few mobility exercises are also included to maintain the shoulder area moving in a healthy range of motion. Do the whole routine to keep happy muscles that will work efficiently and in the long term for paddling.
PS - Don't forget to also do strength training for a balanced routine.
