What an amazing journey 👏 ❤️ Loved the fact that we randomly met and had a chance to help capture Mac surfing from the air. 😁 You both are truly incredible and we hope to see you again soon. To bad we aren't going back to Alaska... not this summer atleast. 😇
Nice you got on it! That thing gets scary when it gets up around 6 ft. tall, gotten violently cartwheeled and backflipped in my playboat in there before lol.
I couldn’t help but tear up after you successfully surfed the bore tide. Accomplishing something you’ve dreamed of for years is truly overwhelming - congratulations!! 🎉
This is the best thing on RU-vid. Just so well done - start to finish. You are highly skilled and incredibly talented storytellers. This makes my life better. Between Bound For Nowhere and Drew Simms...incredible.
I will be kayaking in PWS in about two weeks - I have been there many times, it is my drug of choice. You did an amazing job capturing the feeling. Thanks. And I am glad you caught your wave.
Did you try the chowder on the glacier cruise? We thought it was pretty darn good. Great video! It's always nice to relive the bore tide experience. That Wavestorm will always be a legendary ride. 🙌
Good for you! We should all strive to do what makes us happy. Even if only once in your life. Really enjoy your channel. Safe travels to both of you and greetings from Florida.
Congrats Mac , I m a 66 y.o surfer from Ecuador. I too cry when I have an epic surf day...which very usual here..I surf bow with my grandkids...which by itself is nothing but miraculous to me..stoked as my kids....:) saludos enjoy..!
Another awesome video. Great addition of the surfer graphic in the opening. Stoking my appetite for our small ship cruise in Juneau/Glacier Bay/Ketchikan area this July. Road trip to AK in ‘24. Looking forward to next episodes.
I’m so glad I saved this episode for tonight after a long week of a planned hospital stay(superb results), crazy work schedule and a sick teenager. This was the escape I needed! Mak, teenage me was cheering, weeping with joy and just as happy for you as, well you were for you! I know that exact feeling and there is nothing else like it. Different topic, I’ve noticed the views of this series are far lower than I’d have thought. Is this normal, whatever normal means? Honestly I’m shocked by the number, given your subscriptions. Given your high quality content and the series you’ve made over time I’d have thought your subs would be highly engaged and big consumers of your work. In a way your channel is a niche and it attracts a specific viewer who I’d have thought was very engaged. Call me perplexed…..Can’t wait for the next episode!
I've been surfing for more years than you've been alive, and wherever I am on the planet it's still the same...the best surfer in the lineup is the one with the biggest smile on their face...(well maybe tears in your case) Lol. Awesomeness!!
@@BoundForNowhere You are and then some. I rode a motorcycle and found it hard to do extra exploring like you guys. Amazing videos for sure. Congrats catching the wave of your dreams.
We missed you there by about a week! We saw the tide but were not there for surfing, instead we hiked in nearly every place you mentioned in this series. Even living in smaller mountains and seeing the Rockies on a regular basis, Alaska is just simply on a whole other level. I hope we humans have the ability to enjoy it without degrading it. Thank you for the video journal, M & O, and thank you for the continual inspiration.
Thank you for another fascinating and beautiful episode. Congratulations on catching the Bore Tide. It seems the harder you work, the "luckier" you get. I also love the CG introduction credits. It would have been great to see the last scene (with the truck) transform into either an actual photograph or even a short video clip.
Thank you! It was wild how different the wave was just 24 hrs a part. The wave would break in different places or not at all! It was all luck, but if you show up enough times, you get lucky... and boy and I thankful I did!
I totally understand that feeling when you accomplish something that has been a goal for a long time, and then the boat trip that allows you to see all those glaciers in one day👍
Congratulations on your finalizing a lifelong dream! So awesome. I truly believe there is no sound quite like a calving glacier. Something we felt SO very lucky to view long ago. Thanks again, so very much, for a beautiful capture of magnificent vistas.... and a belated Happy Anniversary to you both!
Ok you two that was a tear jerker! I am sobbing because I know how overwhelming that feeling is when you accomplish something that was always out of your grasp and then BOOM! You do it and the adrenaline wears off and it hits you! Flooded with pure, raw emotions. Outstanding getting it on video because it only happens a couple times in life. Thank you for sharing that! I will be having the same when I pick up my camper in a week or so! Keep rocking it out!
Love your videos and it’s really fun for me to see people enjoying my home state. How far behind are your videos typically from what your doing currently? I remember seeing you guys drive though anchorage last summer.
Perhaps you know what they say about the weather on the other side of the tunnel: it's always shittier in Whittier. It was built there to protect it from Japanese bombers. You can't bomb what you can't see.
