@@BoundForNowhere There's an incredible community of folks up here, Girdwood (my hometown) is pretty rad, lots of cool people who do fun things live there:)
can't believe you saw a Lynx. When I was up in McCarthy I was able to ride my motorcycle across that bridge. You guys are so motivated and adventurous.....motivating! Love your episodes.
I live here, as in my cabin backs up to the Wrangell St-Elias National Park. It is always interesting to see a tourist's view of the area, but your camera work captures what I get to see on a daily basis. Nicely done, as always. Beautiful video. You create great content that I can only hope to compare to someday. ❤
I am planning a trip up from Calgary Canada in my Tacoma with a roof top tent, through Whitehorse then on to Alaska...was there 12 years ago where I flew into Anchorage, bus to Talkeetna, on to Denali where I/we didn't make the summit due to a nasty storm. You two, Mak and Owen, have made planning the trip a dream, every highlight has been so beautifully captured...your warmth flows through the laptop, your videos speak a language we all can understand, with gratitude....Gord
What a incredibly beautiful place Alaska is, and your cinematography is fantastic and the two together make your entire “Lost and Found “ series the “must see” that it is. And the closing title footage either makes me laugh or gasp
In our travels over the years, we always had those moments that feels so incredible and made our trip seem extra special. I always felt like we were just lucky. It's nice to know that these moments happen for everyone in a different way. I have yet to experience the northern lights, but I'm hopeful it will happen. Wonderful episode 😊
You found guava malasadas and spam musubi in Alaska? I'm certain that guava won't grow in Alaska.🥶 I have a couple plants growing in NorCal and they struggle in the winter. Polar bear plunge... NUTS!! Biggest brain freeze ever!
So there is a large Hawaiian transplant community in Hawaii so we were able to get our fill! Owen's family is from HI and I (MAK) grew up there! Small world. But yeah the polar bear plunges are THE BEST
@@BoundForNowhere I'm from Hi too! Living in SF area now. I dove into the sea at Santa Cruz once and had brain freeze! That was only 50° water...glacial water??
So I have done the Antarctica plunge twice now. Both inside the Ross ice sea . Or shelf. However you want to say it. Yea, the southern ocean is cold! Lol.
Whittier is super cool. Especially the military history and the fact that one area thrive in literally one building essentially. “Community under one roof”
I eagerly await each episode. As soon as that foghorn blows during the animation in the beginning I get in my relaxed zone. I can watch that opening over and over. I dare say it’s my favorite part.
We are now on the road and I really missed "being with" you guys Sunday night for the viewing party. Killer scenery and photography! The cliffhanger will surely cause us to look for internet access next Sunday night.
Missed having you in the chat too! Hard to believe there are only two more of these! Hope you still enjoyed and that we will see you this Sunday evening ;)
I just found your channel yesterday and I subbed right away. I am binge-watching your trip to the Kenai Peninsula. I have been there three times and hope to go at least once more. Great video and photography. I am a fellow Sony shooter. I have an a7RIV with too many lenses. Looking forward to more videos!
That clip is this: bit.ly/3fvvqNf And they are a complete game changer. We love having our cameras with us when we hike and readily available. This get's the camera up and our of the way. It is SO much more comfortable than just having it hang around your neck. It's also safer for the camera because it isn't swinging around all over the place
How many miles are on the Toyota Tundra now? And would you guys ever consider the new Toyota Tundra hybrid or V6 considering it’s capabilities and fuel efficiency?? Thanks for the content if you see this and answer lol.
Another nice video, definitely enjoyable to have something a bit slower paced after some of the last few. I am beyond excited to see the northern lights shots in the next episode, and have been waiting for them since I put together that the intro is animation of things you saw. Also kind of sad the series is drawing to a close but all good things must end I guess.
I mean this goes without saying but another great episode. These fill us with love for a place that we have only seen through your eyes so far, and we are so very very lucky that you give us that chance. What an incredible landscape and biodiverse area Alaska is, it truly has to be one of the greatest places on earth 🧡🧡🧡
Some of the best adventure/cinematography content we've seen on RU-vid, stellar work! You've ruined us, now we need to see Alaska. Also, we need to know where MAK got her leather glasses from, so cool.
Thank you so much for saying that. Really means a lot to us to put out the best quality videos we can! And I agree. Gotta get to Alaska! And my glasses are these: app.rockpor.ch/prd/ukU5A6gPTa?r=1
@@BoundForNowhere I think as you 2 came on. He left RU-vid for health reasons. In relation to your Alaskan trip here what I was talking about his trip to the Arctic . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cniqsc9QfDo.html
@@BoundForNowhere The Katmai Park has been my favorite video because of the bears. I've been considering moving up there. Juneau looks like it has a great vibe. I'm sure anchorage has more work opportunities, naturally. Where do your relatives stay?
So happy you have made your way here! I have so many great memories of camping in McCarthy! Grew up not too far from Chitina. It’s a special place, and you showed it off well! ❤️
Not just see them but get it on camera. I can't tell you how many times I see something, fumble for my phone and bye-bye, marvelous critter is gone....
