90% of my decorations came from thrift stores 😊 I did something similiar to Emily with the beakless penguin! I have a ceramic angel with a broken wing, lol. I felt bad for her, thinking she would get thrown away, so I had to have her ❤ She did great!
That's a wonderful and sustainable approach to Christmas decorating! Thrift stores often have hidden treasures, and it's fantastic that you found unique decorations to add to your collection. The story of the ceramic angel with a broken wing is heartwarming. It's lovely that you gave her a new home and appreciate her unique charm. Sometimes, those imperfect pieces become the most cherished ones with their own special stories 💚💚💚
Great haul, Emily chose some lovely things. I like the pre lit tree much easier than putting on lights and untangling them the year after. Your home bargains has a lot of variety xx
Happy Christmas (in July) Katie, Bob, Emily (and Sam JoJo and Jaime in the frame as well), Well you guys did it again and hit my nostalgia button. Since the 1950s my parents invited their closest friends on Xmas Eve to decorate the tree and we all waited til midnight to exchange presents. Because one couple were Orthodox Jews we always had Kosher food, and the occassional Menorah. Over the Years we entertained their kids and then grandchildren. We got new ornaments every year and after my mom passed away in 1984, my Dad didn't want to do Holidays anymore. I moved to Mexico in 86 and in the 90s brought the original decorations for our home here in Mexico. Including the Lights which were now in their 40s hehehe. for the inside we would find a nice sized branch and one year painted it Silver with ONE shiney blue ornament, and the next we found another and painted it gold with a shiney red ball. Since 2008 we've been living in a large tan box of a house. and hang decorations all around it and as Mexican homes tend to have walls around them we put Santa and a sleigh and Polar Bears and Elves and lots of other Mexican xmas decorations. Yes one does fondly remember all the little details of what Dickens might call the 'Ghosts of xmas past' Be well all and don't get too warm this summer. Jim Mexico
At home in the usual place with the girls (winter white hamsters) who are fast asleep under cardboard boxes. They are currently enjoying all the meal worms and bird seed.
Emily?! I’m shocked how have you not watched the grinch!!!!!! 😂 it’s like a Christmas tradition 😂! Also did Katie just say no to buying chocolate little moons?! Katie you must never say no to chocolate 😂! This was so kind of yous though to help Sam & Emily out and give them the cutest start to their Christmas bits ❤️ But I think you’ll need to host a grinch party just to show emily the movie but also you could make it a challenge by making all the movie snacks green! 💚
What a lovely girl Emily is. You could tell how grateful she was to you both. She could have gone "wild in the aisles" but she wasnt greedy and didnt take advantage of the situation. Sam is a lucky man.
Thank you so much for your kind words Cassie, I'm glad you see it too 😌 Honestly you couldn't meet a nicer person than Emily, she is such a blessing to our family 💚

Wow, thanks for the shout out in the video! I wasn’t expecting my comment to have much of an impact, and that really made my day to hear you mention it. Emily is such a sweet young woman - it’s always delightful to see her on the channel.

I wanted to say you are doing an amazing job of creating Christmas content and its not even vlogmas yet. Thank you for helping us all find that Christmas feeling. I think Emily was really sweet. I think she could add some colour to here free decs. But Christmas decs can be added to and collected overtime. At least you have helped them get started.
It’s mine and my partner first Christmas in our first home and we are getting our tree on Wednesday so excited to spend Christmas with him and my cat and dog

It’s so lovely of you to do this for Emily and Sam. She chose some lovely things for her and Sam (and the cat). Home bargains is such a good idea to go to as it not only has decs and gifts but it’s also has good food and festive food as well. Also congrats on 150k, amazing and well deserved💚 #freegang #livebutnotlive #freedomfamily #justkeeprising

❤❤❤❤ Like Katie said about that lady buying Christmas tree ornaments every year and she can show you what she bought 10 years ago. For me I'm the same and I've got many ornaments you can fill so many trees over and over again. And I can't stop myself buying a few new ornaments every year. The unusual the better and if I can I try to buy two of them. As for my tree going up I always put it 12 days before and 12 days after bring them down.. and I can't wait to see what ornaments I can find this year.. lol Season greetings to you and the family. ❤❤
Season's greetings to you too Lisa! It sounds like you have a wonderful tradition of collecting unique and unusual ornaments, creating a rich tapestry of memories on your Christmas tree. Having ornaments that span over a decade must make the decorating process a nostalgic journey, reflecting on the different chapters of your life. Sending much love from all us 💚💚💚
I have a antique fairly doll for the top of our tree, from my mother side of the family. My mother remembered the fairy as a child back in the 1930's. My mother then carried on the tradition for me as a child, together every year we would carefully wake her (the eyes open) get her out of the box and place her on top of the tree! After my mother's passing years ago I took care of the fairy and have carried on the tradition. I've said to my grown up daughter that I will pass it onto her, even if she's not placed on top of the tree, I've said she has to be woken every! To me a very special heirloom 🥰🎄🧚
This was lovely to read, thank you for sharing Fiona 🙏 It's beautiful to know that a tradition like that can be carried on through the generations - and coming up to 100 years! Amazing 👍😊
i did some shopping today and i couldn't help myself and i shouted "BEANS" in the shop while getting my beans. It was so funny i laughed so hard. M y brother dared me to do it and i don't back down from a dare. hahaha
I have been loving your videos It has helped my depression and anxiety loosing my grandad in 2021 was difficult and just watching you makes me feel happy and it just makes me feel better and less sad and deal with my mental health ❤ #justkeeprising #LiveButNotLive Been to londen twice
Bless her , Emily is such a sweetie , we have a few of those trees that use in the bedrooms as they don't take a lot of space up but can still decorate them nicely. One of my daughters has hers done in a Harry Potter Theme , other daughter is Stitch theme and Grandsons is Mickey Mouse . You don't need to spend a huge amount to create some christmas magic
@@FamilyFreedom yes every year we buy a new thing to add to them so never super expensive , obvisouly grandson is only in his first year so be intresting to see where that theme goes as he gets older
Amazing video really enjoyed knowing what Emily got from Home Bargain. So lovely to know all about the lovely Christmas decorations and gifts Home Bargains has. Sending lots of love and big hugs to you all. 🥰
