Hey FreeGang! Thanks for tuning into another budget food shopping video! 🙏😃 We love a good grocery haul video and today Bob and JoJo are going to Tesco and Sainsbury's to see who can buy the best Christmas food haul for £30. This is the first time we have done this food shopping challenge!

JoJo did so well! It was very traditional, which is always nice. He seemed quite aware of budgeting, and did a superb shop. He’s learnt well! These are skills some grown adults don’t have, so I’m quite impressed. On the other hand, Bob picked up some really nice foods which looked exciting to try. Hope you enjoy all the yumminess! Just thought I’d add that today, I felt the Christmas spirit. Just an ordinary day, but people were so kind, patient, and jolly (something one rarely sees in my neck of the woods). I even went to pick up mustard on my way home, and they didn’t have any bottles for sale at the corner shop, so the clerk just squeezed some from the bottle they use for sandwiches into a cup, and gave it to me for free; “So you don’t have to walk,” he said with a smile.

Hey, thanks for your comment 😊 Even before RU-vid we've always taken our kids food shopping with us and occasionally let them take charge, as we realise it's good for them to know what it entails, and the responsibility of making these choices for a family and without spending too much! 😃 So yeah JoJo has had a lot of experience 👍 Thank you for sharing how you felt the Christmas spirit through the joy and kindness of others. I'm seeing this six months after the fact but so far I think it was my favorite video. Jojo, I am so proud of you and your choices! I loved your thought process and was just amazed and how easy you made it seem to put on such a great Christmas Dinner and on a reasonable budget at that. So Bob, while it is fun to let loose and party a little over the holidays you definitely have to be proud of your boy. It is nothing more than a testament to the great job you and Katie have obviously done in training him. Look forward to more videos and hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. Bye for now.

Great video. Good to see Bob having a go at doing a food challenge. I watched this on the TV with my baby. She loved watching Jojo making the doughnuts at the beginning. She was clapping and really excited. Shes 10 months old now.

Jojo is def the winner on this one he has a full meal there since I drink water with my meals I'd rate his a 9.5 only subtracting .5 for going over budget but yes he def did a great job especially with the prices the way they are right now

Jo-jo did right in buying what he bought, and made a healthier meal overall, and I've gotta laugh in the fact that he sabotaged dad with the cake to gain the extra half a point and to put money on his dad's receipt!!! Great hauls, so different. I don't shop at Sainsburys always thought they were expensive. Best gluten free mince pies are from the Coop. I treated myself to the £10 honeycomb bomb but didn't like it what a waste. JoJo obviously thought about the dinner but still had snacks, whereas Bob was just having a party lol xx

Carrot & swede mash reminds me of my late Gran. She made it every Sunday that we went to hers for Sunday dinner. Her casseroles were amazing & always acompanied by carrot & swede mash. That wins it for Jojo in my book. I was torn, but the carrot & swede mash plan won me over.

Haven't commented in a hot minute! I think Sainsburys and Asda are the best for vegan food, from experience. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of crisps... especially holiday ones.. so.. I'd pick both😂 (But Jojo did better, meal & health wise🤫)

Love you Bob, but being a Sainsburys boss, I'm JoJo all the way 😂 All of the in aisle treats etc are there due to them being high in sugar. It used to be that all the sweet treats etc would be stacked right down the middle of the store off the aisles themselves. However Government Legislation no longer allows supermarkets to promote these things in an "in your face" manner anymore to aid in the obesity crisis. And funny how JoJo planned my favourite bowl and spoon treat, carrot and swede mash! LOVE you guys ❤ Keep Rising 💚

Pringles and bournville aren't vegan any more. If you read the back they contain lactose, there was a huge uproar about it. (Apart from ready salted/original)

Hey Rosie, thanks for your comment 😊 Yes, we remember when they added lactose to the Bourneville chocolate bars - we were also disappointed. This hot chocolate though did not have it, so would have been an option 👍 The same with the Pringles that we got, they didn't contain lactose but we know some of their other flavours do. Thanks again 🙏

Another great video! Really helpful as me and my family use a Tesco and Sainsburys as “top up” shops so this helps!! I’ve found in my local stores that tesco have more in the freedom section but Sainsburys has a little more in the vegan fridge / freezer range but not by much at all, so I guess Tescos is the best for free forms / vegans. 💚 #freegang #livebutnotlive #freedomfamily #justkeeprising

You need to try and make a banna or apple Carmel bread for your Christmas meal if you would like I could send you a recipe for them

2 cups of banana 3/4 cup of water 1 cup of oil 3 eggs 2 cups sugar 2 tea spoons of vanilla 3 cups flour 1 tea spoon salt 1tea spoon baking soda 1 tea spoon cinnamon 1/2cup of walnuts bake at 325 for one hour and you can use same dough for the banana or apple or zucchini squash it's my family's favorite Christmas breads and if you want you can add Carmel to the apple bread if you use the Carmel use aluminum foil type pans to because the Carmel sticks

Usual place and in pain from yesterday. Girls are home and sleeping- hamsters- they are lazy and sleep all day. (Bath) abi - she’s from bath with her sisters. Unfortunately, I shouldn’t eat things like fruit and veg due to health issues.

Well done guys if I sent my guys it wud be toys n snax nd unhealthy foods I'm trying to eat healthier my gals are aboard bt the guys love meat bt in south africa its very expensive n the selection not as gud as u have over there bt wish me luck n pray for my family love you guys n u opened my eyes to being healthier

Still not fixed, the garage said they have had lots of flooding in the area, so they've been really busy, fingers crossed it gets sorted soon 🤗
