Tonight's Coverups turned into a surprise Green Day concert. Here is the full concert which started with foxboro hot tubs! Bionic Buzz / bionicbuzz / bionicbuzz / bionicbuzz www.BionicBuzz.com
Everyone talks about Billie's lyricism and Tre's skills behind the kit but not enough people talk about what a monster bass player is. He should be counted amongst the greats!
36:00 A wild Adrienne appears in the background. I mean, she was there the whole time, but I just noticed her enjoying the show at this point. What a great wife she is.
These are the shows every musician loves playing. Arenas and stadiums are fun, but being close and able to interact with the crowd are always something special

Man, the gigs they make in small venues are always my favorites. I guess it's because they seem like they're just having fun, instead of performing, if it makes any sense. They're so drunk though. I love Billie's reaction to Tre playing the wrong part at 16:25. 😅
Love how they start laughing at 39:03! Mike Dirnt is def my favorite Green Day guy: so funny, amazing on his instruments and I think he’s the one who really keep the band together.
An alcoholic who had to go to rehab to get sober is drinking again, (whether at a party or not) and it's definitely going to turn people off. That being said, it's his life, he can do what he wants
We don't talk enough about the dynamite rhythm section that is Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt. They are human metronomes and lay down some of the tastiest beats.
@@elliottsmith8636 Yeah I actually don't like this secret show very much. It's kind of funny but not a great live performance in my opinion. On the other hand I know a lot of people hype Woodstock but for me they don't interact with the crowd during their songs like they did during the 21CB tour or even AI World tour (except for the mud fight I mean yeah thats huge but I mean from a performing point of view). I personally love this running and jumping around the stage version of Billie who controls the crowd but they were very pretty static until American Idiot came out. Yeah, his voice was undoubtably (god knows how to write that word) the best in the dookie area. And there were just those three on stage wichh is pretty awesome too. And I personally don't like concerts during the day when the sun is still up. But for me the best live concerts of them are basically every concert of the 21CB and American Idiot Tour. Like Bullet in a Bible, Awesome as F*** or every phone recorded song during those tours.
Just saw them during the Hella Mega tour and they put on a polished and amazing show. Kinda cool that they can still do some silly drunken sets like this along with the sold out arenas
BattMarn unfortunately I think he has he quit drinking and was boasting of sobriety and not drinking in 2014 now he performs sloppily drunk. In an interview he also said that he hopes the hella mega tour is filled with drinking games
@@JJ4848 damn, that really worries me. He's my idol. I have pit tickets to a Hella Mega Tour show (my first time seeing them), and if he performs drunk and sloppily, I'm seriously going to be heartbroken. I love that man, and I know he's a grown ass adult and he can do what he wants. But I really hope he can handle his alcohol this time around if he's going to be drinking. It's not fair to any of the other band members or his fans. Especially his family. :(
Hes definitely off the wagon, the only reason he went into rehab at all in the first place was because of that blowup at the I heart radio stage, if that hadn't have happened, there would be no rehab, I don't think he took sobriety seriously in any sense
@@danieldeitz429 he was definitely drinking here. You can see him taking swigs off a bottle of beer at various points in the video and in the other videos from this night.
They're definitely drunk, but hey it was Tre's birthday and Billie definitely realized he needed to stop lol pretty sure that's why he doused the crowd in his last beer he took like one swig of. I hope that this was Billie just having a little too much fun and that's all.
To be fair, they were playing dookie songs at standard tuning, and I'm sure Billie has his vocal muscle memory stuck on half step tuning. I can tell he was struggling to get the right tone with his singing due to this reason.
I wouldn't be surprised if they'd say that this was one of their favourite gigs from the last few years. Just up there, drinking and having a sick ass time playing with their friends at a bar like the old days. I'm sure playing arenas are exhilarating as fuck, but this is roots shit right here.
