The end of the abandoned bridge obviously needs construction materials at the end that form an improvised jump. Like in every movie/game with an unfinished bridge.

Couple useful thoughts: You've got some small containers at the bridge project, so might be worth having the bigger one filled with some pre-filled O2 bottles. Like your emergency supplies on the Rock Lobster. And then fill the smaller one with emergency food/water. So if you're rushing home because you forgot to eat/drink... you can avoid dying at the last second. Also could leave some 1x1, or 3x3 large grid tires on the bridge, since you'd probably bring at least one replacement out to that sort of construction site.

When using grid alignment, you can hold CTRL and use the mouse wheel to move the block distance. It’s not as massive as creative mode, but you do have some adjustment. This means you can pull it closer to you and get it to snap to the front of the block you are standing on. Only works for me in align to local grid, and sometimes I have to change alignment out and back to get it to snap.

Name for the little failed bridge "Follies Landing". Something else you can do with the battery is add a few connectors and you can use it as well for a forward charging point for the splatform and any trailers. Regarding the streetlights: Old Italian painters included "mishaps" in their painting, e.g. an error of perspective etc. Considering this, you could have a go with the Intervall or blinking option of one of the lights and even a timer block to further randomise the lighting. For an older abandoned bridge project a malfunctioning neon light is a must have for me....

The unfinished bridge needs a worker hut. A few toilets and a desk, maybe a double vent to take the helmet off for a few minutes. Build it off to the side and do a bit of ribbing to support the roof, leaving it as an intended weather report station to warn of high winds (2 wind turbines and a screen to show speed)

Some ideas, feel free not to use them: - There's lots of snow around that Mountain Tunnel Road. Why not a giant rotating drill arm that slowly scoops up ice and deposits it into a few large grid large containers attached to a decent-sized network of Hydrogen Engines? It's semi-automated for a little while, until it hits stone, but you could probably set up a PB that detects when ice is no longer entering the large cargo container or when excess stone is, to auto shut off the drills and retract the pistons, then somehow set off a large warning spotlight to let you know there will be no more ice to dig up. There are many great examples of rotating drills arms and as a hint there are usually at least two rotors offset from each other to get an efficient end result. - I'm surprised you haven't made a blueprint of the bases so far for projecting them and making repairs much easier in the future, should they be needed. - I believe "Poor" wind clearance is less than 50% of possible power, whereas "Optimal" can potentially reach over 100% from time to time. So stacking the wind turbines up just a few more meters, exactly far enough away for "Optimal" wind clearance, would help heaps. - A solar farm is cheap in cost, as far as resources are concerned, (everything can be made from what is refined from stone), and you can attach a simple script to it that can utilize the Hinges and Rotors to track the sun, for optimal sun exposure and maximum energy.

A couple of ideas: I don't know about Australia, but here in the states, there would be a couple of flashing yellow lights on the barrier of that partially constructed bridge. There would also be a second barrier at the end of the bridge, where it terminates. Also, living on the Front Range of Colorado, I've seen a few mountain roads. They would remove the rock above the road, so that it couldn't fall on any cars. This would leave a sheer rock face on the mountain side of the road, and a clear open view on the other side. Some sort of railing at the open side of the road, to prevent runaways from going over the edge and you have a properly constructed mountain road.

I think setting up the Rock Lobster for front-wheel-drive, either by turning the suspensions off or just turning down the power, will help make your rover a fair bit more stable. Every time you inch forward, the rover subtly jerks back onto its rear suspension and rocks back and forth for a moment, suggesting you have too much torque on your rear suspensions. The sudden stops you make while inching forward are probably contributing to the rocking as well; this could be mitigated by making the front suspensions stiffer than the rear suspensions. Or if you're feeling brave, you could break out a controller and try feathering the throttle.

You should take the turret off the top of your mining vehicle and put a spinning, glittery, large storage container on top, just for nostalgia's sake. Possible advertisement at Steve's Hole in the Wall: "Capac's Discount Bungee Jumping Experience. 2KM down Death Route 66 at the old bridge." Speaking of the orange terror, another brainstorm - maybe the toll booth operator can be an orange target dummy. I only suggest that so that you can pay the toll by shooting the orange one. ;) Good luck building the road!

Idea for the rock bar (Steve's Bar): Steve knows that the reavers hit everything with power, but he also knows he's a low power establishment. So he takes a blueprint of the bar and wind farm and lets the farm get destroyed by reavers. Later when the batteries are low and he needs power generation again, he kicks on the old projector in the back and hand welds the turbines back to functionality.

Turn the failed bridge spot into an overlook weight station/security check point. It can still have the failed bridge sticking off and out of it, but they had started with a second structure like Steve's hole in the wall at the bridge but decided part way into construction to not continue but mine instead. So you can have a small building with air and a gun turret and power generation, a small storage room, maybe even some refinery capability, a small overlook viewing platform, and then the unfinished bridge sticking out with blockades and warnings. You can also use it a second staging area, turn around spot and recharging location.

Red = Bad guys! you usually want to shoot those things marked in Red. need to add more points into Parkour! power systems at base will need attention as there are damaged turbines. I might also consider adding some Solar Panels to boost generation for the Splatform. wind conditions are not ideal at Steve's Hole might end up require installing a small Reactor. huge bridge requires more than one body to build it. install a pier under the part you intend to leave in place with a sign denoting "Bridge Out" a couple containers and a spare Bridge Beam lying on the deck. don't forget to build up the Abutment where the Bridge merges into the Rock. 29:00 = an alternative for large bridges that will have some interesting looks is a Deck Truss design. these can be quite long and built in sections that can be carried up and weld padded into place. individual spans over a wider gap such as a River can be done with a Through Truss that I have built and Blueprinted in my Agaris Save.

In a mountainouse terain you whon't want suspensionbridges in fear of a rockfall. The briddgeproject could be redesigned as a forward parkingspott/stockpile for constructioncrews (as in redesigned by the buildingcrew). (also possible parkingspott for the splatform with low to 0 powerinput so you don't need to drive the whole whay back down during construction) ... jea, kind'a like that. you could put the warningsign on a frame overhead with the halve sized armorkorners. Also the place should be accessible by vehicles so the workers don't need to move more than one baricade to gain access to not clump up the street while clearing the entrence.

You could turn the partly built bridge into an overlook and viewing area, maybe a small "Halfway Cafe"

If you make a cargo hauler narrower than the rock lobster it should be easier to navigate the route. I would equip it with a parachute just in case :) I love this series so much! Keep up the awesome work.

In relation to the unfinished bridge, I feel that it can just as easily be a work camp that wasn't fully removed at the end of construction.

The single row of blocks of the too large bridge would have been a perfect rail for kind of like a short train platfrom, where you drive on and get transported to the other side. :D

On the abandoned bridge, if you placed light armour plate, and used the angled pieces you could add a couple of large plates just “laying” there at an angle. It would break up the otherwise square angles of the bridge surface.

On Escape from Purgatory I think someone had made some believable shipping containers. Maybe one of those would be good on the abandoned bridge.

Might consider building up just the beginning part of that bridge. just in case of attack. also flows with the notion of starting the project, but getting it "defunded" before they got to far.

I think having some partially completed shelving units, showing abandoned parts, on the left side (so it's kinda sheltered under the rock) would look nice.

That failed bridge could be a rest stop at the end of the universe, I mean mountain!

Good stuff as always! You could put some beams on top of the bridge, like they were going to be lifted into place but never did. Also, a snack machine seems appropriate, to feed the hungry workers while they're building, then forgotten about.

Look up Adam Savage's (de)merit badges. He has one that is "Measure Once, Cut Twice". Very funny. Also, the small storage container you placed on the partial bridge, paint it Capac orange and put an LCD screen on it with the word EXPLOSIVES. Loving the series.

A moble hitch hydro tanker/portable engine generator for the hauler to make use of the hydrogen to charge up on the go without the need to expand facilities may be useful also Love the series thanks for the hours of entertainment

for more Detail on the bridge you could add some ground down neon pieces to the end of each beam

I was travelling through a Tunnel the other day, and Realfised the lighting pattern was 4 yellow lights 1 blue light and repeated put at roughly knee to waist height. Even if my travels I´m thinking of splitsie :)

Windmills under the first bridge and a crew lunch room at the abandoned bridge. Where you can charge the splatform.

Watching you drive the downhill on this road I can almost hear Richard Hammond screaming on that Bolivian Death Road.

You should replace those large grid barriers with small grid ones. That way people in the race will be able to accidentally drive through them and off the bridge if they miss the turn
