I’m cheering on Toby Price in the Dakar. It doesn’t look like his year this year but he’s a heck of a Dakar competitor. Great podcast gents. Really enjoying them.

Chads a tough dude, but you can see the struggle he’s going thru. Prospective is everything and know he’s going to come out of this with a tougher mindset and better outlook on his GoodLife ADV situation. Appreciate you both for putting the lessons learned out there for everyone. Great interviews fellas 🇺🇸

Awesome discussion. I'm also recovering from a compound fracture of a crushed foot. My last ride was September 19th Reno to Downeyville solo. I didn't have to use my inreach. The adrenaline got me through. I got my bike back up and finished the last 14 miles into Downeyville I was able to contact my wife, fortunately for me I left my trailer on my truck. She came and picked me up. The folks at the pizza shop helped me to load my bike. I'm seeing my doctor on Monday. Two surgeries later, I'm walking. I'm getting my bike ready for this coming 2024 season. I will be buying the extra coverage and a tourniquet There's another service for the western states called Air Med Care helicopter service. Kyle you may not remember me, but I was able to ride with you at the giant loop at Crane Hot Springs rally 2 1/2 years ago. I was on a brand new Yamaha T7. Good to see that you're expanding your channel. I still follow you. Good luck in 2024 from Reno NV! Thank you for what you do.

Glad I watched! Broke my elbow riding back in August. Glad he is on the mend. Completely agree, attitude in all aspects of life determines your life's path. Keep sharing your story, talk about it, soon will just be memories that you learned from. Excellent Kyle, I appreciate the thought and experiences you bring to your platform. I learn from your content. See you on the next one.

What a great episode. It was interesting to hear this being replayed through both of your perspectives, as I was only moments behind the initial crash. I felt every bit of your words with every ounce of my soul, and I’m just grateful we were all there to do whatever was required to ensure safety for Chad, what a fucking stud I’ve never seen anybody so strong with such a gnarly injury.

Watching the wild horses got me in Wyoming. Fortunately nothing but a couple of bruises.

Lots of lessons learned here. Great podcast really enjoyed it. I have a Garmin mini and I do take the time to show how to use it with fellow riders just in case I’am not able too. Could have been worse if he ran into a Moose at 70. Yep it’s me. Still love that video.

Had to hit the SOS on my inreach in April of 2022. CABDR desert rock snatched me off the bike in the middle of the Mojave. Emergency communications devices are vital to those of us recreating in the backcountry.

Chad! Man I am feeling for you. April 17 2016 I had an off on my Sherko 300 brand new an hour into breaking it in. It resulted in a broken tib, fib compound. Like you, I was calm telling my buddy my right leg was broken and thought I could feel blood in my boot. Damage was also done to my knee and ankle. Like you again, surgery and external fixator. Fine for a couple months then infection :( so now waiting, praying for it to clear up, keeping positive thoughts “KEY” Then they schedule operation to amputate in 2 more days. Praying and keeping positive thoughts 12 hours before the scheduled surgery it started clearing up thank God😅💪 Over the next 7 months and 7 more surgeries I struggled hard with my mental health ( I was loosing my sanity) and physical health. But I made it! A full recovery even though I was told I would never walk again without a cain by my surgeon. Again hard work and POSITIVE THOUGHTS! While I was down and out I realised what was important to me and that was seeing the world on 2 wheels. So after 11 months I went back to work trucking ( still on crutches for a while ) and made a 4 year plan to ride off into the sunset on my 890 R and did just that and still going! In closing, keep those positive thoughts rocking and working on your recovery. I hope to see you on the trail. Also feel free to hit me up anytime on social media. Cheers to a speedy and full recovery 🍻

Awesome video with some awesome insight to how to deal with the situation you found yourselves in. I’ve had many injuries like this and the one thing that helps the most is I did it with a smile on my face ! I didn’t get run into by a mini van , I was doing something I love and smiling right up until I wasn’t but can ALWAYS look back to what makes me smile and that my friends is riding! That drive to ride again will overcome any doctors prognosis!
