I gotta say the animations of Jeff and all the Survivors...the faces that looked like they were caving in on themselves...the thin, noodle-like arms with a mind of its own...the sad/happy expressions of each rejected tribe member...its like watching an actual episode of Survivor. So true to life.

Honestly I feel like if someone made a really good online Survivor game, it would be super hype. Like Mario Party level minigames, actual camplife stuff, strategy, idols, etc. I think the Roblox game that Alpharad did a video on is the best we have

My favourite Skupin story is that he played a second season, got to the end, and allegedly told everyone he knew that he dominated the game and there was no way he wasn’t the winner. When the live reunion show started and the final votes were counted, he received a single vote to win…

i never watched survivor but my younger cousins used to play this game and laugh at how racist it is. i was raised in our (indigenous) culture more than they were and i remember Cringing through the whole thing. nostalgic!

55:46 this version is actually called mahjong solitaire, there's a lot of different versions, the one I've seen the most is riichi mahjong, which is incredibly complex. I know this is a very over-simplified definition, but imagine poker but like, with a lot more hands and rules

mahjong is kind of like poker if you had to collect 13 cards instead of 5 and the hands you needed to finish were even more strange and arbitrary. Such an addicting and interesting game despite the rules feeling like they were by somebody in the year 700 who was losing really bad so he had to come up with some BS on the spot to turn the game around

That "Cannibalism was a part of Marqueasan life" is highly questionable, I cannot find a credible source of it being a common thing, or a thing at all. It seems more likely to be a typical "they're savages, they probably eat people!" rumour. That aside, I'd love to see a survival game that focuses mostly on the social side of Survivor. Also appereantly survivor's skills can be viewed when choosing them, so maybe you just get screwed over unless you choose somebody who's skilled in cooking etc?
