@Mike Stephens To be BELIEVED !! Yes! The public is so trusting of Big Pharma and Doctor's that They don't believe that it's possible to be injured by a "trusted " medication.

The worst side effect of these "treatments" is the loss of autonomy, credibility and rights
@kareendeveraux1847

Of course, they need to take away your credibility, otherwise the fraud would collaps instantly. The narrative that patients are liars is necessary for the system to thrive.

No such thing as side effects. Effects which are known are effects, both in this case as in pharma.

Losing the ability to represent yourself is truly frightening. Labels have such power over us because society believes too much in them. There is a lack of critical thinking and healthy skepticism in society. Sanctuary trauma is another example of the power of labels. Wolves hiding in sheep's clothing.

you know. I'm 57 and I was 21 when this all started. I swear they would tell me and it may have been social workers with 2 yrs training. theres no withdrawal with these medicines.I know it was more than social workers. . Just the patient is always wrong. no matter what. I remember saying I prayed . I said Jesus if you want me to live please help me. the next day i woke up with a peace. I was living at my 1st group home which was a scam on there part. well I told a nurse about praying and after, she which of course to her meant I was bipolar. Because I prayed and then felt peace, it was her determination that I was bipolar. they went from your bipolar to your not bipolar to you are bipolar to your not. Insanity. you have to understand. Most don't care. They Don'tCare. its like abuse victims in the catholic church say. the hierarchy don't care. they know now and they still don't care. My god they are changing sexes of little kids. you think they don't have a basic knowledge that that is wrong.

You are great people. Kudos to all of you.Just off ecitalopram, low dose, after 20 years.I suffered immensely from insomnia, walking up and down at night, restless,,and now feel better.I am still on 0.5mg clonazepam and am planning to slowly reduce. it.My 2 cents , Eat ONLY fresh ,lightly cooked food WITHOUT ADDITIVES, keep your stomach light.It helps.Light ,sustained excercise, in sunlight. Take care and stay blessed.

I'm in tears listening to all of you speak , especially the incident Angie shares about getting hit on her bike and then in the midst of her understandable ensuing distress being cognizant of the despicable fact that people in our society who are seen crying or otherwise experiencing any sort of outward distress in public are effectively shunned in every way imaginable all-too often - that you were fucking AFRAID TO CRY in public - I can relate too well! I have no words to describe how utterly heartbroken and hopeless that makes me feel for all of us. I am so sorry you experienced that all alone, Angie! For all of us living islands in this sea of sewage we call society, my heart and burgeoning courage go out to you all! Thank you ALL for this wonderful film and for the courage in sharing your lived experiences! We need to raise awareness through raising each others voices like this! Much love and respect! Be well.

I too have been n benzo's for 31 yrs ,and Janice explaining about tardive dyskinesia she suffer's with,I wondered why I started having severe grinding teeth and jaw symptoms and sudden jerking body shocks, skin crawling sensations ,rashes as Nichole has described,and many other stange symptoms,I've lost count of how many specialists I have seen over the years and not one of them ever put 2 and 2 together and said it was the Benzo' I was prescribed.I never had a name for it,so thank you for that information Janice.I too cried after watching your film x 3 times .

...also ...that brokenness "defective" label and way of thinking about those who are labelled mentally ill"..unfortunately goes far beyond the medcial system now but is so ubiquitous in how people think about health and illness and also the fear of admitting overall in general popualtion how they might feel certain things or expereince certain things because the overall culture has its iwn ideas about what it means to be "A functional human being". Our whole culture is far too ready to see health and normality is these narrow terms and target out those who just don't seem to fit in or perform in the ways that are expected. We need to talk about the sickness which exists in our culture that then stigmatises and scapegoats those who are calling it out.

Thanks God people like you exist 🙏 I am so moved by all your testimonials. I am recovering from withdrawal after 2 and half year of a horrendous taper! It's soothing to hear that I am not the only one needing this validation and apology from the psychiatrists who harmed me, and also not being able to feel the love for my loved ones, etc... It's amazing to hear you all use the exact same words I do use to try to explain what I am going through to my close friends and family ! Will the movie be translated to French? I would like to share it with my family and friends here in France where I live.... Thank you for all you're doing! Bless you guys

Interestingly, I never thought about Suicide until I was off my Antidepressant I weaned off over a period of 4 months & have never been so depressed for over a year now! Nothing is ever said about a person's underlying condition coming back once a person stops taking their meds. Why is this?
@MedicatingNormal
@MedicatingNormal 3 года назад
It's impossible to parse out the difference between "relapse" (the original condition) or "withdrawal" the severe effects of coming off the drug- the same as someone who comes off of heroin or other street drugs. If you never had suicidal thoughts before the drug- that would not be "relapse" but instead it may be a "withdrawal" effect.

My comment was actually removed from here within 10 minutes of posting. This survivor (me), spoke but was censored. That's really sad but par with my previous experience of most people. Whoever has the power to remove comments here, in my view, are in the 85% of the willfully blind. We are the rare ones in the 15% and that's the way it is. Still the censoring hurt me and that will affect your karma. I know well what it feels like to be shut down and you did it again.

I did not remove any comments. Could it have been flagged as spam or abuse by a fellow RU-vid commenter? Did you use any bad language or anything that goes against RU-vid community guidelines? I am the only admin that reads comments and I think I've removed maybe 2 in the last year for abuse and not any lately at all.
