Wow.... I'm blown away! Susan is as talented as they come! At age 10 she holds her own wih Dean Martin - and even upstages him! Susan, you're (still) the greatest!
Truly amazing how professional and composed Susan was during those days. Not just with her brothers, but the likes of Dean, Johnny Cash, Buddy Ebsen, etc..... She reminds me of a late 60s, early 70s Shirley Temple....
How am I just finding out about this family/band?! I am 52 and a amateur musician and have never heard their story told! How is this possible...why? The Cowsills are 2nd to none. Amazing taste, harmony, talent...you name it. Wow! Timeless music that isn't degenerate and vulgar in any way.
no telling. I'm 58 and have known of them for years but I grew up watching the Partridge family and knew about them being the inspiration but also a fan of the musical Hair they sang the title song
Yes but she held a dark secret with what her Father was doing to her at that age and they didn't put him in Prison but pushed her off on a Family member and the Mom not stepping in amazing she made it through it all. Watching the doc on amazon about them interesting but very sad also.
Fabulous segment. Utmost respect for performers who learned their trade in the vaudeville era and were still at the top during the cultural/youth revolution of the '60s. RIP Dean. Just watched "Family Band", the Cowsills documentary. Respect and love to all the surviving Cowsills, the darkness they endured and wonderful music they still create.
The romanticism of such evil... Im sure hollywood would be fine with it. Nothing has changed.... You eat up this garbage you might as well watch a grown woman twerk, with that you at least have a consenting adult, acting like a clown but an adult no lease. This, this is sick. The Cowsills were great musicians but they really pushed the boundaries with this depravity.
According to an interview with the show’s director or producer (I can’t remember which) Martin would walk in shortly before taping and do the show cold. They provided stand-in performers for Martin during run-through rehearsals.
@@barryhunt8527 Well sorry but their information was incorrect. He was always most certainly prepared, but he usually did not rehearse. He did exactly what Jackie Gleason did. They had a stand in during rehearsals and did the show cold because they wanted the spontaneity.
Additionally, Dean Martin was famous for never rehearsing before the shows. Imagine the talent of this young lady with little or no practice with her fellow performer.
I WISH THAT 😪😢I KNEW THE COWSILLS I TOOOOOOO WAS BORN AND RAISED ME N.E. Susan Cowsill was my childhood girl crush because she was popular with her family band The Cowsills and we were almost the same age. Susan really does have a great voice in this duet with Dean Martin.
Cudos to Dean and his team to invite Susan on. What I wonder is why they didn't put this out as a single; Harvest Moon I mean as they sound so good together. I always love the little dancing Susan with the group but this along with the dueting with Jack Wilde and dancing with Buddy Ebsen, and singing When I'm 64 to Mike Douglas, shows she truly was/is as Dean says in the intro. What an adorable Cutie! It could be argued she has had the best post Cowsill musical life even though Bill did fine in Canada in spite of substance abuse and John has been drumming with the Mike Love Band for years. John got married to a Bangle and Susan has made music with her sister-in-law Vicki Peterson in a group and as a duo.
Pedofilia pura. Siniestro. Igual te gusta ver a señores mayores alcoholicos besar en la boca a niñas de 10 años mientras nadie mira en un parque solitario por la noche...
She turned into a beautiful and talented young lady. This video really highlighted her talent! I fell in love with her then, and still have a crush on her! :)
This was an age where Decency and pure talent reigned supreme. You could stop all current production of the garbage thrown at the public-- and just play old Re-runs from this Era-- our families and country would be better off!
LOL did you check the documentary of cowsill family, their father was very bad and also used to feel them up. They were scared bunch of kids. We know the history of US, how people manipulate and take advantage. And what all has taken place in US till now, Willowbrook state school experiments, Project Artichoke, etc, etc where projects like these started the MkUltra or went hand in hand with it. There have been close to a million missing children every year in the US , count of which has reduced very recently. The've done experiments on them since close to 70 years, PizzaGate was just a tip of the iceberg, the real deal are the caged children and the experiments. Hollywood and the entertainment in US is completely filled with these sick people. Peoples minds are not in the gutter but they are aware about what they've been made to misbelieve
It is an innocent little video from a live show back in the 70's. Nothing creepy about it. It was staged because of Dean's reputation as a player. She was just calling him out on it. Very cute.
Hog Farmers For Justice In today’s terms it seems that way, but back then, it was just a cute little sketch during a time when adults and children could mix in TV entertainment without the predictable accusations.
From a much more innocent time. Susan was always cute, and despite all the bad that happened to her and her brothers, most of them came through it. The Cowsills are survivors. And Dean Martin, while he cultivated the on-screen image, wasn't like that in real life.
