Susie and Luke! - Full Moon Getaway - Overnight Adventure

I was raised on a 184 acre farm & when the extended family reunion was held there, we played " Hide-n-Seek. Think about 60 kids playing - 5 kids with lights, being it - a 40 acre woods, pasture, barn, implement bldg., other out bldg. as the play field. That is how we got & enjoyed the wilderness. My brother & I built a lean 2 in that woods & after 40 years, our 1st lean 2 is still standing, but has vegetation as the roof & side taper walls had greens growing on it too. Way back in the late 60's, 4-H tried for 1 year a survival course. After you took this class room & hands on course, you & a partner would be given a knife, 1 can of pork & beans, 100' cord string & a canvas tarp, taken way out in a forest( Tuckahoe) & you would have to survive 1 week. Now 8 of us completed the class room course & made it to the field test. Of course, parent permissions were signed. Each team was dropped off 5 miles from the other. Now for the neat part, 1 kid found a standing hollow tree & after cutting a green sapling, started beating on it. Within the 2nd day, all 8 kids were together & now we used bow drills to start fires at various travel points to base (30 miles away). We killed & ate pork & beans, crawdads, minnows, 1 crow, chipmunks, rabbits, loads of various greens, boiled creek water for drinking & stew cooking. We had 2 days & 1 night that it rained & was quite chilly. We kept 1 1/2 tarps as shelter & made ponchos out of the others. We made it back to base 1 day early of designated time. That was my most rememberable hiking / camping memory to date. The suburbanite members voted of 4-H voted " NO" on keeping this immensely good training from ever happening again. Now 60+, I pray that society doesn't destroy hiking /camping, as they have of so many great american cultural / heritage items

My son had 2 strokes when he was 5 yrs old caused from Kawasaki’s Disease. He is now 42 yrs old and nothing has kept him down. He is still partially paralyzed on his left side but he has been a fire fighter, a correctional officer. He is my hero ❤️ I am so glad Lucus is doing as good as he is as well.

Man i love the trigger trolling lol. And today i was on the road comming back from Saguenay Lac St-Jean, Quebec and we had to go thru a provincial reserve. At some point on that road there was this humongous grey lone wolf. Like a husky x2 . Running beside us. Wow! And i named it Luke lol.

I loved the "triggered" alerts! Classic!

At 4 years old, my daughter was diagnosed with a spine curvature. By the time she was 12 they had to perform a surgery that could have put her in an iron lung for the rest of her life. They wired her spine to metal rods. Over the years there were many things to overcome since her body parts were not in the normal spot and numerous nerve issues. She has been remarkable in her development. She now is a middle aged person with a college degree, a job she loves and a beautiful daughter. She was our teacher on setting goals and never accepting defeat. She also taught us that she can do anything other people could do, she just does is differently. Love your videos.

It's been years and years now since I have seen fireflies and it's such a treat to see them in your video. Makes me think of when I was a kid and also our own kids were kids.
