I stumbled across your channel while checking out some gear reviews, and I was so impressed by the way y'all interact...and your positive attitudes....man, y'all have something special! So, I start binge watching...andup come this episode with Luke...dude, I'm sitting here in tears. This really made my feel good, because he reminds me of my son Daniel, who teaches school in China...and I miss him so much! He graduated from Lee university in Tennessee, not to far from the A.T....we used to have a lot of good times together. Thank you for bringing a smile and good memories!

Just started watching your channel about one month ago. Your input has not only saved me from making some terrible gear purchases, but also helped me find some amazing backpacking and camping gear that will surely make our family backpacking trips more enjoyable. You need to write a book in all your "free time" because I have learned so much from your videos; from tarp configurations to camp site selection and staying safe on the trail. Thank you! Baby Luke, you are tall! I have 6 kids and my two oldest boys tower over me. They are 16 and 18 right now (April 2022) and they are so helpful now. They can reach items on a shelf very easily (so I don't climb up on and fall off chairs, true story) and they can lift heavy items like they weigh nothing. Amazing how you all went from being tiny little babies to giants. Yet, you all will always be our babies long after you have become men. Charles is my "Charlie Bear" and Samuel is my "Sammykins." Thank you for the video. I'm now watching it 5 years after you posted it and it is bringing joy to me and my family. I have to watch an updated video to see how tall you are now.

I just took my father out on a canoe fishing trip this weekend. I had about 15lbs more than he did in his pack. So just hang in there. The time will come where you get to take the light pack.

What a great video! My 21 year old son is doing a thru hike on the Appalachian Trail, I would give anything to be out there with him right now. One of my favorite things about backpacking/hiking is that it can be a family adventure. It doesn't matter if it's a day hike or a week long backpacking trip, it's all about getting out there and spending quality time with loved ones. Thank you for allowing us to join in on your family adventure!!

I can't believe you answered my stupid gangsta rap question! Hahaha! I was rolling listening to you read the lyrics. Regarding headaches though: I've had severe headaches my entire life. I remember having a bottle of Tylenol in my 2nd grade teacher's desk. As an adult, on average I had two headaches a week, sometimes bad enough to leave work. On bad weeks, I'd have a headache every day. A couple months ago, I started seeing a chiropractor. My x-rays were pretty hilarious. My legs are different lengths from having arthritis since I was 12, and my spine has become geometrically unusual as a result. But back to my point: since I've been going to a chiropractor, I've not had a single headache. You should give it a try if headaches are a regular problem for you.
