MOON TIME MOON TIME MOON TIME
MOON TIME MOON TIME MOON TIME
※ 遥かな MOON TIME 流れよ MOON TIME
静かに MOON TIME 流れよ MOON TIME
MOON TIME MOON TIME MOON TIME
※ Repeat x3

I stare up at the tower’s lengthening shadow
as people again assemble on this moonlit night
Moon Time Moon Time Moon Time
Opening up the forgotten sky, Moon Time descends,
lighting the lamps of the capital of lost days,
now, above all those gathered here (1)
A grimly piercing wind blows by
and in distance people weep once more
Moon Time Moon Time Moon Time
Hasten to their distant hearts, Moon Time, and convey that,
unknown to them, “today” is being born
like a flower, now, in the square
※ Far away, Moon Time Flow to them, Moon Time
Quietly, Moon Time Flow to us, Moon Time (2)
Moon Time Moon Time Moon Time
Smash open this closed-up sky, Moon Time, and flow forth
around the base of the tower we gaze up at
in order to celebrate this dawning day
※ Repeat x3

Notes:
(1) This line features two different kanji that can be read as hi: 日 (“day”) and 灯 (“light”, as in a lamp). (Seeing this led me to revise a line in “Aurora”.)
The refrain of “Byakkoya no Musume / Byakkoya” (mishiranu miyako ni hi ga tomoridasu) may be a reference to this line.
(2) There’s nothing here that explicitly says where it’s flowing to, but I decided to add “us” and “them” based on how I interpreted the song’s other lines.
