Both wifey & I have driven the old, boxy shaped Celerio for the last six years, so I was pleased yesterday when I was offered the new Celerio as a rental at Cape Town airport. Yeah the spec is a bit spartan but it's an okay car. The boot was big enough to stash all three of our suitcases. I averaged 24 kpl on the run out to Hermanus which is pretty good. I like it & it's cheap enough. Sadly you can't buy them in the UK. Time for a change of mind Suzuki??

The reason it didn't sell well was because of the governments VED road tax increase from £0 to £190, so they pulled out of the UK market. Its zero tax in progressive countries like SA and India
I have the last gen swift, my sister has the current gen swift so I know what it's like to deal with the electric power steering. It is really tough to get used to especially on the high way. You are always having to put steering inputs in even when driving straight and no feel on the initial steering input. You do get used to it eventually but in the start it's really hard.

@@whangjohnlizhao550 Whatever you say pal. But considering these high fuel prices, I wonder how much enjoyment you get from driving an SUV these days. I actually wouldn't mind scaling down to a Celario given the fuel situation 🤷🏽♂️.
