I looked forward to new videos. Recently found the channel after buying my 16 kx250f with the impossible cold start you have been helping me diagnose. I had a 2000 RM 125 back in the day and it was an amazing bike. Now 32 years old it’s my second try at a 250F as I sold my 07 kx250f had a short 96 YZ 125 stint (sold it after one ride and made $400) now following along with your great advice. You do an amazing job going in depth unlike 2vintage and I really appreciate that you always comment back fast. Wish all RU-vid channels were like yours! Keep up the awesome content, buying things fixing them and flipping them is the only way to make it these days. A+

Man... I always enjoy watching your expert abilities to fix shit...lol. I really enjoy the RM's as thats my niche right now. I currently have a 92 RM125, 2000 RM125 and the most recent, an 02 RM125. Thanks for sharing these videos with us. I like your way of explaining as you go. Until the next one....🤘

ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IprgX0hDAGc.htmlsi=1J-iPx0GsCbeSd_A I just had the same issue on a YZ426 crankshaft. Used the tool in the video above. It was fixed in 30 seconds.

Yeah, that’s pretty cool. I’ll have to get some of those. It unfortunately would not have worked in this situation because the end of the shaft was rounded off pretty bad and smaller than the dimensions of the original thread.

Why do people ALWAYS remove the chain guards? And then have crankcase damage from the chain?
@restoroosterohv
@restoroosterohv 4 месяца назад
Although chains can break without warning, the majority of failures is due to age, wear and lack of maintenance.

Very nice !! Could you have taken any metal off the fly wheel where the nut goes, to get an extra mm or 2 of thread depth before you reinstalled the nut ?
@restoroosterohv
@restoroosterohv 4 месяца назад
I got at least 3/4 of the thread I to the nut. Used some red thread locker and was able to torque the nut. It will be fine. Thanks for your comment.

What would it cost for a rebuild on yz125 motor

That’s not possible to quote without more information. There is a lot to an engine. I would need the year and what needs to be done.

Some parts are discontinued from Suzuki but companies still make plenty of aftermarket parts. Some specific things you would be out of luck on. I ran into one time with a KX 250. The water pump shaft was damaged and no longer available. You either get one used (if you can find it ) or have a machine shop make one for you.

I would have used a stover lock nut instead of just the locktite

@@restoroosterohv That’s why you use a stover (deformed type). It’ll start locking at about half of the nut width.

I find that a lot: not installed properly! My chain came off and busted my cases. I had it welded, and it works good, but was thinking about adding a bracket to prevent the chain from bunching up again. There is nothing avalible for my bike and I would have to fabricate something using the mounting holes present. It would be nice if they sold a universal bracket that you could drill hole where needed!

A chain falling off is generally due to being overly worn, or lack of basic maintenance. Keep your chain clean, lubed and adjusted. Replace it when it gets stretched and you should never have an issue.

Maybe some people like the jet boat content, wasn’t for me I like the Facebook marketplace dirt bike finds. Seems like a lot of these bikes come from a MyBuddyRacing type friend who thinks they know how to fix things then make it worse. Then Rooster comes in cash in hand for the score!

@dragin79 I can appreciate that for sure. One of my highest viewed videos was on a Sea-Doo Jet Ski so it would be unfortunate for me to exclude that content, and I don’t do much but you will see one from time to time. Thank you for your support.

@restoroosterohv

@@dragin79 I was thinking about doing something like that with all of the bikes as a members perk. Purchase price, cost and time of repairs and sold prices. What do you think of that idea?
