Thanks for the video. Just bought a 2006 SV1000s. So far all's well. Fluids look light colour and all works well. Drove it back 600kms 2 days ago in 38 degrees C. This is Australia, typical summer day.

Man that's a crazy hot day in the States. The SV is a great bike & they will run forever with well maintained. We use to endurance them in a 1000cc twins class.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 Yes was a bad day. I'm nearly 80. But still going OK. I got dehydrated towards the end so took it carefully the last hour or so. Couldn't find water as I ran out.

It's common for the bearings in the clutch basket to run out of spec. Theres a company in Texas called Werks that rebuilds and balances these baskets to be absolutely perfect. Thats probably what your guy should look into. I did it on mine and its so much better than stock.

That's great information. I appreciate it. Definitely look into that.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 I'd also look into the stator/flywheel magnets. They break loose and can prevent the bike from charging. Those are the only major issues outside of a green electrical connector that sits in front of the air box near the ignition.

@@RubberChickenMan007Where in Texas? I’ve got a 2003 SV1000s and want to inspect the clutch soon. Thanks.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394Assuming the SV1000 has the original clutch, and if it’s creeping forward in 1st gear, wouldn’t a simple clutch lever adjustment fix it? On my 2003 SV1000, the clutch lever feels fine but it started creeping forward one day. I changed the setting on the lever knob back to 1 and everything was fine again. The only thing that doesn’t feel right is when I put it in 1st gear before riding, it makes a fairly loud click sound. But it’s smooth after that. What is the cause of that sound generally? Thanks for your channel.

Yes a simple adjustment can cure that creeping issue. But this customer put in a EVC clutch themselves & was having the creeping issue even after adjusting the lever. I also thought it would be just a simple lever adjustment but it didn't solve the problem. Once I got into the clutch I saw that it was completely assembled incorrectly. That was causing the clutch to never completely disengage. Also before I tore into the clutch one the bike got hot it would start to slip at high rpms.

Is it easy to put levers on it? Never messed with a hydraulic clutch before and don’t know if I need to do anything different

Yeah super easy. It's just a 10mm nut on the bottom & a either a flat head are a 10mm bolt head on top. Just don't over tighten the bolt are the nut when you put it back together

Where you get the levers from??

Are you referring to the ones I took off the bike are the ones I put on? The ones I tool off were cheap Amazon ones that were on the bike when my custom bought the bike. The ones I put on are o.e.m. suzuki levers.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 I mean this motorcycle in the end, with red frame?
@limitlesspowersportsservic3394
It's a MV Agusta F4 1000. I don't remember what year. I do have a full video on that motorcycle also.
