I chose the Harley Davidson because it is not nearly as mass produced. I like motorcycles with more character and the street rod certainly has more character than the sv. If vanilla ice cream is your favorite, go for the Suzuki. If you like flavored ice cream, choose the Harley.
I used to ride sv650 2000 and it was also my first bike ever. I fell in love with it, but 2 years ago I had to sell it. No incidents during our 3 years of friendship. Loyal bike. Now, I am considering buying bike again and the question is sv650 or HD street rod. I had a father in law with this particular harley and I loved the harley as well. I also got the opportunity to have a ride on it, although I was too afraid :D I am not used riding other people bikes. This time I am going for a brand new bike and it might be the sv again. Thanks for the video!
I'll take the SV ! A brilliant bike in every respect. I currently ride a '17 VStrom 650. Last week, I ordered a 2022 SV. The're extremely short in supply. I love these engines. A riding partner of mine has a gen 1 DL 650 with over 200,000 miles on it and it still runs great.Your SV looks excellent. It's set up perfectly. Thanks for the video...
Nice video! Have a 2019 SV650 ABS. Got a very good price allowing for some upgrades, including an Öhlins shock and a MRA Racing fly screen. I feel the same way: i love the bike and will never sell. Ride safely.
SR750 is a brilliant bike. I have install a Puig batwing touring windshield and it rides like a dream on highways….the footpegs are a easy swap ( the mounts swap between the street 500/750 and the SR 750)… the Rox 3.5 inch riser fit without any additional cable or wires( re route the accelerator and idle cable from behind the triple tree and adjust the banjo bolt angle for brake line)…
@@kfkwAL7 Yes, I saw that. I ended up ordering the S&S slip-on. I want a little bit deeper sound but I do not want it to be too loud. V&H high output looks the nicest to me but every one says it is really loud, even with the baffle in and I have had loud exhausts before where I ended up just taking it off from my bike (Kawasaki Vulcan S). I don't want to do that any more. Hopefully I'll be happy with it once I get it.
hi, just got a 2017 Street Rod XG 750A. if you can recall, which Indian company did you get the tail tidy from? i agree on the how much better these bikes look after the slightest modification.
The SV stands (atleast when stock) with a very utilitarian naked bike look that you would completely forget the moment you pull the throttle on 3rd gear.
overall they are similar but in details theyr differ quiet alot diffrent wheelbase ,powerto weight ratio ,ergonomics ,rake .,both good bike but for lil diffrent people .
I've ridden both of these bikes and I ended up with the Harley. I haven't regretted my decision two years later. However, you've got the wrong heat shield on that V&H exhaust. There's a slimline heatshield that sits flush with the exhaust of the Harley.
@@kfkwAL7 oh that’s ok then I didn’t realise it had a fuel light. Always been used to bikes with a fuel gauge. Current bike BMW f800st but fancy a change. Was thinking of Kawasaki Vulcan but my local bike place has a 2018 street Rod which I’m testing out tomorrow after reading your review.
@@Rodders1 thanks, I had an f800 a few years back, good bike, tall but with a lack of torque i always thought. I sold the Street Rod a couple of months ago. It would appear getting parts is a bit of a problem even just some run of the mill service items and as such I’ve seen a few written off for minimal damage. I wouldn’t pay over £5,000 for any year of the Street Rod and definitely buy an exhaust an fp3.
