Have had the privilege to see her several times. Amazing and better in person. She has the voice of angel. Night Rider's Lament, Hear her vodel. Unreal.
Beautifully done, Suzy! Hank Williams would be SO proud! I'm thrilled to see current singers singing a classic madterpiece which doesn't deserve to die!
This video deserve two praises: One for Suzy, of course, but also for Mark O'Connor's beautiful fiddle playing starting at 2:01 for about 10 seconds. Top notch!!
I agree. I was born in 1961 came out of deaf world at age of 41 with cochlear implants. I hear normal with the outer units on. So the music and movies are something I cannot get enough of. Hank Williams and Loretta Lynn are two of my favorite singers for Loretta has a very beautiful voice to me
Charles James Charles My heart sings for you. I can't hear either, but no hope for me, but sometimes I think I can hear what must be the glorious voices
One of the prettiest versions of this song I've heard in quite some time. I sure wish modern day country music sounded as good as it used to...today's so called "country music" sounds more like a bunch of singers seeing just how loud they can scream...go figure???? Thanks for posting! May you have a blessed holiday weekend, Jeff :-)
Suzy Bogguss was a big deal from 1991-1993. Had 6 Top 10's in that span, most popular being a song called ''Drive South'', which peaked at #2. Worth a listen.
Suzy is touring again. Check out her website for her 2019 concert schedule. Tell her you heard it from her college roommate when you say hello in person. She always makes time for her fans after she plays. 🌷🎼
I was introduced to Suzy while listening to radio station KZLA Los Angeles(alas no more) and still think this girl has an absolutely marvelous voice,Just wish she would try some standards, but no matter I'll keep listening. Joplaw171
Aaaaaaaa...lovelyyyy...brought back memories while serving in us army...notthing to fall back on but the ways, songs, food, palay ect.of the christan culture of america...
Sussy is great, such a lovely woman, so gorgeous, her songs are real Country. Sussy, from Costa Rica, We love you. We also like Country Music outside the US.
I wonder what influences she experienced to become such a classic artist. An old soul dropped into a modern world. I enjoy her music so much. A very nice and refreshing presentation of stage.
I never knew she was from Arkansas. Thanks for posting this. I'm thankful I grew up when country music was real and from the heart instead of the corporate garbage that is forced upon us today. (and no I can't help it....bluey....)
Hello Laurie 👋 how are you ? Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
One of the purest female voices I have ever heard. Didn't have very many of her albums, but I think she is capable of being a close match with the vocal talent of Patsy Cline. Of course, we all have our own opinions. Joe Engman
Just totally overlooked. That voice, that face. Truly amazing talent; truly beautiful woman. She came out strong in the early 90s and then seemed to disappear. Makes me wonder how much effort was given to downsize her. She definitely would have benefited from stronger management. JMO.
Has Suzy ever recorded "I can't help it..if I'm still in love with you? Best version ever of this Hank W great. I'm a big Aussie fan and would love to see Suzy perform down under .
i had a crush on her back then. she came out with the video for Letting Go and looked hotter than Georgia asphalt. shes also a great artist which is getting more rare these days. as long as you look the part. or you are bro country
