One who seriously desires to achieve enlightenment..even once in any life time..will be drawn towards it even unknowingly again and again...I first came across this book and even bought this book called Ashtavakra Gita.. without knowing it's importance.. without even knowing about the word "Advaita" only to realise two years later the importance of this subject and the text!!! The supreme consciousness takes u holding ur hand..you need to just surrender..and it will happen on its own!
@@sanjaydawda324 Swamiji mentions the translator Thomas Byrom. The publisher is Shambhala. 2001. The author is essentially anonymous, but Ashtavakra’s name is given as the teacher ho gives these verses to his student Janae, following in the tradition of the Upanishads.

After the 'leap of faith', my logical mind has been convinced that every experienced phenomenon by every one and everything is a wave in Awareness/Consciousness. Yet, I struggle to embrace it & assimilate it into every living moment. How to cross the boundary into that expansive state?

We r like the ice cubes in a glass of water..but actually in reality there s no glass..it's only water.. Ice cubes are only name n form. Water is the reality..or in this case consciousness. Consciousness is an energy field in which we all take form.
Namaskar, Unfortunately, that is the last lecture that we were able to record with Swami Sarvapriyananda in North Carolina. The public lecture video did not come out. Swami Sarvapriyananda has given at least one more lecture on Astavakra, which is available on RU-vid. He commented that this was the first time that he lectured on this particular verse of the Astavakra Gita.

Or we can say.. We are like the ice cubes in a glass of water..as long as we retain our shape or identify with our body n mind we remain distinct from water/consciousness . When we surrender we dissolve our identity and become one with water/ consciousness that we always were. The creation we see weaves a web of Maya and we get lost in it.
Experiencer and experience are never one.They are different, We can touch and see them.Thus this body is separate from me.I am experiencing the world as one ,as god.
That might be your current state of understanding. Some people have gone one step above that and realized that both the experiencer and the experience is one single imagination.
What I meant to say is: I am the awareness which is aware of both experience and the experiencer. The experience and experiencer come together and go together and you existed before that (since you know that, just before to it, they were absent) , for example as in the case of moving from experiencing the blankness (absence of objective experience) of deep sleep to another type of experience (dream, which is objective experience)
It is consciousness vs consciousness as far as subject and objects dualities are concerned. Just as it is clay vs clay as far as the pot and its shape and its substance and quality are concerned.
Pranam Maharaj ji. When I prick my fingers with Needle, who feels the pain. My finger, my nerves or my mind. Now feelings make us Me. But is there anything that can make us feel like not Me.

In antiquity & also centuries ago there were a lot less people than now; does it mean that many of us are new commers to earth since there are a lot more people now?
Wanna ask this question: What is the relationship between Sat and Chit... Very often, Swamiji has quoted that when you look at your hand, then your experience is that 'i' am looking at my hand and not my hand is looking at me... There by trying to prove that 'I' am sentient and hand isn't... I am chit...!! OTH, very often while discussing the positions of Pure Existence, Swamiji has quoted that the reality for things to exist is that Existence itself appears as things and not the other way round...!!! i.e., things don't exist but it is the existence that appears as names and forms...!! So now there are two things here.... One is the concept of Sentience as shown in the oft quoted example of 'looking at your hand' experience (Chit) and the other of elaboration of Existence...!! So when we discuss insentient things we look at it fm point of view of Existence Example... When we look at Sentient beings we use the examples to arrive at Chit...!! So as per non-duality, are both Existence and Chit the same...?? If yes, does it mean that Existence is Sentient...??
According to masters Sat - Chit - Ananda (in English Existance (Truth or Reality) - Knowledge - Bliss) is also the God Principle leading to the God experience. Distinction and discrimination of the language itself leads to the clarity and experience. Read the Gospel of master Ramakrishna
