I don't get it, why not? Does he need the money? Is he coy? This is wonderful and it's messed up how there's a bunch of other demos out there not on the net because of his (rightfully) attitude.

@@ein8539 maybe he just wanted the world to listen to the album version first, I imagine he likes that one more.

@@ein8539 I think by having the demo versions of these songs available everywhere it takes away from the exclusivity promised on the original fundraiser CD. Plus it’s his work at the end of the day and if you respect the man then you’d respect his wishes for the demos to only be on the physical CD.

​@ein8539 i have nothing against pirating, but honestly, if an artist wants to protect their music and does indeed take action to protect it, there's nothing wrong with it. Saying that Gira has an "attitude" for doing that is such a strange take imo.

@@coronelfalk that album was actually made to be intentionally pro-Christ as a rebellion against the Satanist trending themes of other bands at the time. There's tons of other pro-Christ stuff in Swans. They even made two songs about Cloud of Unknowing, an amazing Christian mysticism book.

As a Christian I love it, but ngl, I dont pretend to show Swans for my mom

@@nicknickson3650you don’t have to cope like that. It’s okay to listen to non religious music. When I was religious I was constantly doing this with media I liked. I would google “is father John misty a Christian” for example. In the end, you don’t win. It’s better to forget about claiming art for yourself and just enjoy it as it is. Peace
