Billy Connolly doing the top 10 board was bloody brilliant. Noel admitted on the last episode, that it was the most funniest moment out of all the shows.

I remember watching this as someone who a bit old to be watching it at the time. Billy was absolutely hilarious. The Top Ten Board part slayed me.

Billy of course was hilarious doing the Top Ten Board but also, which is the measure of the man, he was absolutely marvellous with all the children calling in to ask questions.

Watched on a Saturday morning, just like I used to. Loved Swap Shop. Love these old clips, thank you.

I’m glad I re-recorded it. I missed the camera cue light joke with Billy Connolly the first time around.

For the real nerds. Right at the begining was Hanna Barbera's 'Heyy its the King' a cool Fonzie type Lion with his sidecicks 'Skidz' the Aligator, 'Big H' the hippo and 'Clyde' the gorilla. Part of CB Bears 😁

14:51 The only place I’ve seen the full titles to ‘Lucky Numbers’. I seem to remember this was previously a separate programme in the evenings.

Back when Billy Connolly seemed to be genuinely likeable before he disappeared up his own arse.

I will have a look but I doubt I’ll have much more. A three hour vhs tape in the early 80s was around £11 (double that for memorex) - which probably explains why there are very few editions around. People used to record it for a specific reason (like they were on it). In addition it contained cartoons which probably seemed a waste of tape to record three hours of something you were unlikely to watch all the way through. Maybe explains why the BBC wiped most of their copies.

@@bdavebaldwindo you have the whole of episode 8 as me and my brother sang live on that episode and I really want to see it! I can see my name in the credits at the end!

@@amandagraydon7189 I’m afraid all I have is on here. Videotape was still quite expensive in the early 1980s and you’d need a whole cassette to record one programme which is probably why very few home recordings exist.

Thanks so much for all your uploads, but what's with the audio drifting out of sync? Happened with the Nationwide video too.

So much of a problem on RU-vid you can actually Google the query. I think because the original source - a vhs player - sends out the audio and video separately the pc and then RU-vid have to reassemble it with no references. Obviously the longer the recording the bigger the gap. One way around it is to record small sections and reassemble them on the computer or, hope the speakers on the recording have beards.
