I hope someday I get good enough to feel comfortable crocheting a material like that. My jaw is just sitting here dropped trying to comprehend how you work with it lol! Looks beautiful though, it makes me think of a swim top with mermaid vibes.

Hi I also knit and crochet and making a scarf out of this material is quite easy. And may seem hard when you start but with trial and error you can get the hang of it easily.

Saw this video, thought it was so cool, and the thrift store blessed me with a ton of skeins of similar yarn! I'm so stoked! (Yarn i found was red heart boutique sashay if anyone is curious, gave me smaller, shorter ruffles, but it will be good for accents!)

SO THATS HOW MY GRANDMA MADE ALL HER SCARVES!!!!! I could never figure it out!!!! She had so many of these in every color. But sadly I only have 2 blue ones left. I'm glade I have what's left of her. And I've educated myself enough to continue her style and make more things that remind me of her. When I have kids and grandkids I want them to have the Mimi I had.

THIS is why all us crocheters turn into hoarders! Heaven forbid we go buy something again rather than have hung onto it for 4 useless years!! (Or ten…or fifteen….) I say that only bc I feel that, and you, SO HARD btw…. I haven’t crocheted in years now and the boxes and boxes of yarn I have is insane. Bc, ya know, what if I start again? I’ll def want that dusty yarn. Every last strand. 😁 zero sarcasm.
