Soybean oil is a very versatile oil and is one of the most consumed cooking oils globally.
As for its uses in the culinary world, it is a simple substitute in most recipes for vegetable oils due to its neutral taste. It can be employed in baked goods, as a salad dressing, used in deep frying, and in many other conditions. Additionally, soybean oil can be used as a natural moisturizer for your skin or hair.
Soybean oil is produced by squeezing the oil out from seeds and kernels of the soybean. The oil is then separated from the solids and refined to eliminate any contaminants.
The separation stage can be accomplished through various equipment such as decanter centrifuges or vibratory separators.
SWECO was requested by the customer to determine feasibility, efficiency and capacity for the separation using a SWECO Round Separator. The test exceeded the customer’s requirements.
