Sweet beans snack. This is a traditional but forgotten Goan tea-time snack made with black-eyed beans (or peas), called chawli in India. It's an amazingly tasty and nutritious Goan sweet, enjoyed at teatime as a healthy snack.
I have sweet memories of my mother making this delicious sweet for us children to enjoy on coming home from school and then later on from college. Time to revive some of our forgotten but nutritious Goan food traditions! What do you think?
